Well this summer my family wants to go on a vacation to this Los Cabos/ Cabo San Lucas in Mexico or which one ever it is, and i'm just wondering if anyone has been there, is it worth the trip, or is there a better place around? Thanks.

I've been there several times. It's changed a lot thru the years, but I still love it!
I've been there several times. A couple of times we rented a villa up in Pedregal which absolutely rocks. Those houses on the cliff in TLongs pictures are in Pedregal. It's very American friendly. Virtually everyone speaks english so communication is not an issue. Lots of great bars/restaurants. Fishing is great. Some of the best golf courses in the world if thats your thing.
No matter where you stay or what you do it isn't cheap. Prices are American +. This ain't Piedras Negras.

San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas are both considered "Los Cabos." SJdC is slower paced. CSL is a party town.
