Everyone thinks that the taller you are, the better you should be; there's a disadvantage as well. The bigger you get, the slower you move and react. If Yao could move like a guy 6" shorter, the game would be unfairly easy for him.
Now Shawn Bradley moved pretty well for a 7'6" guy, but he weighed 120 pounds. He had no muscle on that long frame.
Point is, there's always going to be some tradeoff the more size you have. That's why small players can have success on the same court as 7-footers - they're quicker and faster.
Its on JVG, Carroll Dawson, Les Alexander, and anyone else out there responsible for providing talent around ming and mcgrady.
No real/good pt guards, no true power forwards, no pure spot up shooters, no bench..........
why oh why wont jvg put battier on deron. just let AK47 roam free unless hes in the paint. sloan wont let him shoot the 3 and if he does he is doing so bad he will miss.
and yao is very skilled for his size.
