came across http://www.whowins.com/tables/up31.html, and was struck by the fact that visiting teams have never won game 5 after going up 3-1 and have lost the series 2 of the 3 times they've been up 3-1 in the preliminary round. maybe a mythic comeback for the mavs isn't too far-fetched.
Well, we've seen it happen before, so it by no means is "mythical." But yes, it is certainly more difficult. I really hope that the Mavs can undo the wrongs of the past and take this series.
If Golden State takes the series, I will sincerely feel robbed of, among other things, an epic matchup between the Mavs and Spurs and a potential Larry O'Brien trophy.
