Sorry, but you're wrong. It's widely known in most of the places I go (AnandTech, HardOCP) that XP and Vista (32bit) will only show between 3-3.2gb installed if you have 4gb's in.

Yes it can, it won't crash, the operating system is designed to recognize 4gb in the mobo.

Now yes, it allocates less of it, but Vista is hardly worth 0.6-1.0GB of ram anyways, especially if you're a gamer. 3.0-3.4gb is more than enough, and there's no way that getting that negligible amount back is worth the troubles that Vista has. DRM, SPP, and higher system requirements alone offset that ram benefit. Heck, Vista takes 320 more mb of memory than XP does. If it wasn't for DX10 I'd stand pat with XP.

Now if we were talking say 8gb of ram (or anything greater than 4), then of course you would want 64-bit vista.

All these problems people talk about with Vista - I've never experienced them ... Preach what you want, but my hands on experience for over a year has told me otherwise.

Especially with the performance enhancements coming soon.
