I know there's a few Rush fans in here... wondering if anyone saw them this weekend? I caught them in Dallas Saturday night.

A little disappointed in the set list. I expected a healthy portion from Snakes & Arrows (though probably not five songs straight to open the 2nd set), but even the first set was a little slow at times... songs like "Between the Wheels" and "Entre Nous" are great album tracks, but they don't translate into great live songs.

Still... the best concert I've been to since the last Rush show I went to in 2002. I'll never miss another tour.

    And this was cool:

The highlight of the evening for me is always Natural Science, especially since as a former member of the National Midnight Star mailing list, my vote had something to do with them dusting it off and adding it to the playlist back on the T4E tour.

The lowlight was definitely the absolutely horrendous wait for merch sales. I missed most of the first set because the merch stand to the right of the stage was "manned" by 3 of the slowest grandmas ever to draw a breath. They made Tony Stewart's merch trailer employees look like Speedy FREAKING Gonzales. That and the fact that 2 minutes after the show ended they were going through the stands rousting everybody out. I, for one, like to sit and wait for the crowd to dissipate somewhat before I head out...especially because I'm an old fart now and I spent the last 3 hours standing up and rocking out...I need a breather before I fight the morons to get to my car. And I still usually like to get kissed before I get ed to the tune of $8 for a 24 ounce beer. Jeezus H. Christ.

The show was awesome, as usual, but my date was a little put off by the new tunes. She's not the Rush nut I am, and she was expecting to hear more of the hits. Roll The Bones was one she really wanted to hear, but if they played it, we missed it.

I disagree on Entre Nous not being a good live song. I thought it was excellent.

Cir stances and Witch Hunt were also highlights for me.

Good work, that's my favorite Rush song.

"Malignant Narcissism" made a great lead-in for the drum solo.

I wanted to go, but the friend that asked me to go with him back in April suddenly got a girlfriend and she got pissy when he said he was going with me, blah, blah, blah. I couldn't find anyone to go with me last minute, so we sold the tickets.

Yeah, the merchandise stand was Ridiculous, I missed the first 2 songs of the first set cause those assholes were so slow. And where were the $8 24oz?? I spent $40 on 4 beers, the last of which I dropped on the ground right as I got back to my spot on the lawn.... i was pissed needless to say.

We missed the first song because we thought they were starting at 8:00... We at least heard it while we were walking through the parking lot but I hated missing the introduction and the entrance.

The $8 drafts were at the main concession stands along with the $12 margaritas. Right after I drank a whole beer waiting for the dumb broads to get me my shirt (dude in line next to me bought not only the $100 baseball jersey, but the $90 '77-'04 tour book set) I saw a little beer stand selling the 24 oz cans for $9. I said screw that and went back to the concession stand for a buck cheaper draft. There wasn't a line at the $9 stand, so I guess that was the attraction!

My daughter went to the concert and said it was great. She had very good seats to begin with and then ran in to a friend who had a box with some extra seats. So she went over there for a couple of songs. But then that voice in her head saying " You should go back and sit with the boy who brought you. It's the right thing to do, even if he is just a friend!" It's nice to know that some of the manners I'm trying to teach her are getting through.

yes...got the e-mail from LiveNation earlier today.

I haven't been to a concert at the Drum since... , since Rush on the Roll The Bones Tour. Have they done anything to improve the ty (as I recall...I was pretty much toasted at every Erwin Center concert I've ever been to) acoustics?

It'll be nice to see the guys inside again. There's something just not right about a show at Verizon for some reason.
