I guess it depends on what you're into. If you're into military history, my family loved the Nimitz Museum.
I going to Fredericksburg this weekend. Does anyone know any cool restaurants or things to do there?

Just stay in the hot tub like I told you yesterday!!!
I'm into all kinds of history, but my lady might not be. Maybe I can drag her along if I agree to do some shopping with her. Thanks for the info.
I hope the tropical depression doesn't ruin that.
I wonder what the the ties look like in Fredericksburg.![]()
I took a trip to Fredericksburg about 8 years ago I guess, and I'm not really an outdoors kinda person but I went hiking around that area and it has to be one of the most beautiful places I've seen. Don't know if you're into that kinda stuff though
Yeah, I'm totaly into that. I recently got into Geocaching. I hope there are some nice spots over there. I hope I get a chance to check out Enchanted Rock.
The Brewhaus for their beer and german food.

Ah yes! Thats what the name of it was, Enchanted Rock![]()
That place was very worth the hike, if you're into it I'm sure you'll love it
Good dining up there.
The Peach Tree is a good place for Lunch: http://www.peach-tree.com/
Engel's Deli is also a great spot for some cheap but delicious German food and drink:
– 320 E. Main, (830) 997-3176
American-German lunch specials, delicious desserts.
Almost any bakery has great sweets and kolaches.
Make sure to try the local brews and wines.
Yeah, Enchanted Rock, a good place. I've been there a lot of times. I like to find that plaque that where it says about the peace treaty that took place between the Comanche and the German settlers in their early history. It's supposed to be the only peace that hasn't been broken in the US.
The climb up to the summit of that granite dome formation is quite challenging, best done early morning and yes, watch out for rattlers!
hey! im from fredericksburg!!!
some really nice restaurants to go to:
Friedhelms
Navajo Grill
The Nest
Fredericksburg Brewery

You should also check out Veriens Kirche in Marktplatz, lots of history there.

you should go back in early October for Oktoberfest, lol!
To me Fredericksburg used to be more shops and crafts but now it is more about food and wine. And definitely go to Enchanted Rock.
if you feel like goin out to the bar and meetin new people, some good places to go to in addition to the Brewery is Buc OBriens on Llano St. and Auslander off of Main.
Another excellent place to get dessert is Clear River Pecan. They also serve soups and sandwiches there as well.
The Bavarian Inn is good German food. I really enjoyed it...
