wow, going back and watching that series is even more delicious now that I realize just how much suns fans deserved that punking.

I used to like the suns, I liked Nash, I liked how they were bringing back the excitement and casual fan to basketball.

but damn! I have never encountered such a pathetic fan base, even raider fans are better then these arrogant little whiners.

I suggest many do the same. You won't win anything. They aren't here for reason. They are here for threads like these. The are trolls to the 'enth degree and the more they are responded to, the more they shall respong.

I don't blame any here for sticking up for their team. The contents by most Suns fans in this thread are rediculous. Still, when will it stop? They are fishing? So, stop biting. If you fish without a nibble, eventually you move on.

That's just the thing, maybe I'm bias but any team that has Manu, Tony and the beauty that is Tim Duncan's play is not boring. Man I love watching the way they execute at times, and the way they can shut down a team almost at will. I just don't get it.

Nobody that knows anything about basketball thinks the Spurs are boring. Jeff Van Gundy's slow it down, grind it out, give yourself a chance at the end style is the closest it gets to boring. And-1 isn't winning any ratings wars. Wake me when it does.

The 07 Finals were boring but that had more to do with the Cavs not being a worthy opponent. 05 Finals were boring but Detroit and San Antonio were both excellent teams that excel in halfcourt execution on both ends of the court, so they brought out the boring in each other. On their own they're not boring. I love how dumb_suns_fan brings out massholes like Simmons to support his "arguments" when even Simmons himself says the Spurs aren't boring and have unfairly gotten a bad rap for a lot of the league's sins.

The Spurs have been involved in pretty exciting basketball over the years (03 semis against Lakers, 06 semis against Dallas, 04 semis against Lakers, 07 semis against Phx). And they can play any style you want: you wanna slow it down and grind it out, like Cleveland, Utah or Detroit does, okay, fine, they'll beat you in the half-court. You wanna run, okay, fine, they'll run and beat you at your own game, like they did to Phoenix in 05 and 07.

Actually, the Spurs played like total and complete in the Finals. I think the layoff was too long or something, but they never came close to the way they played all through the Utah series, which was about as beautiful as any basketball you'll ever see*.

Part of it is that they are competing on a world stage against the JV, the leastern conferance. It's inevitable that the Spurs will play down to the level of their compe ion. The games against the Denver,Phoenix and Utah were to me highly entertaining. Then in the biggest series of the playoffs, well the Cavs made it a non-competive series, thus boring.
