I would hate to be in high school today. The whole college application process has become such a slick, phony, high-pressure game.
Yeah I'm in that whole bull right now, it sucks.
My younger sister is starting her freshman year at the same school as me, and the application process for some of the other schools she was interested in was just ridiculous.

I got a 750 math and a 670 verbal, but that was 31 years ago before all of the preparatory courses and gaming the system, etc. The most anybody would take the SAT was twice, maybe 3 times if there were extenuating cir stances. My combined score was well above-average for acceptance at MIT at the time, but by 1990 or so it was only about average.
I didn't take any prep courses or have any SAT tutors or any of that , and I only took them twice, most people in fact take them 2-3 times, so that hasn't changed.Is that with the new 1200 max?
