It would only have to be for a certain period of time. You said Alves was money in the bank, so it's not really a bet.![]()

Din Thomas interview on yahoo

Din says he might retire if he drops out of LW le contention
http://mmamadness.com/insight.html?newsitem_id=70
Junior Assuncao is a tough dude...Dustin Hazelett (also on this card) broke his orbital and arm before Junior KO'd him...

Alves IS money in the bank![]()
100% guarentee he loses now. He is talking that BS. He is done ala Cro Cop.
Din Thomas
Nate Diaz
Chris Leben
Pete Sell
Jonathan Goulet
Leonard Garcia
Gray Maynard
Kuniyoshi Hironaka
Luke mo
Cro Cop said that before GP and he won it.
This is different IMO.
He wanted more money from PRIDE. That was simply positioning for a contract. Hughes did the same thing.
I think Cro Cop is dead serious now which is obvious based on his performance and Din has retired before. Now that I think on it, didn't he talk about retiring on the show?
Eh.. I bombed on the picks for the undercard. Main card was almost there, but Din let me down...
Edit: er.. his knee
No excuses for injury!
Every fighter is injured for every fight or he didn't train hard enough!

Good for Nate. He looked awesome and Pete Sell should be embarrassed.
I had completely forgotten about Nates standing chest stomps. I love that tactic. You possibly knock the wind from your opponent while forcing him back. One reason I love Cung Le so much, he uses that move in every few attacks.
speaking of Le.....when is he fighting again.....
Hopefully November 10 against someone with a ground game
4/9...ouch!
I can't believe they couldn't squeeze in Gray beating Veres in 9 seconds. By the way, I picked Veres as an upset after talking to a guy that trains under him. He said his wrestling was the equivalent of Gray's and his striking and subs are better. He said a 9 second loss isn't at all indicative of his skills. Maybe we'll see him again...
Too bad Din got hurt...was looking like a great fight, although Kenny was looking better to me.
Leben is a tough/lucky mofo, although he did eat some big punches and stay up. That KO was a desperation punch that landed perfectly. He did look like a different fighter though...
Props to Quarry...he's tougher than I thought...
It sounds like Alves, Hazelett, and mo dominated...
Diaz looked great, and it sounds like Cole did too. I'll be looking for those fights in a day or 2...
Anybody else catch the fan that yelled "put him in a body bag!" during the Leben - Martin fight? Genius...
It took me awhile to get it. I hadn't seen Karate Kid since in a long long time.
It was sooooo loud.
Perfect timing.
You would have won the sig bet with Alves..
I got 5/9, not too bad I suppose.
Quarry looked like crap, but stood in there. I can't believe he knocked Sell out.
Alves made Hironaka submit from leg kicks.. I guess like Cro Cop did to Yoshida.
Good night of fights overall. I wish Din didn't hurt himself. I wanted to see where it actually went. Florian was leading at the time anyway.
Was that from a fan? It was priceless. PUT HIM IN A BODY BAG. YEEEEAH!
I was just looking at sherdog forums and some people are convinced it was a corner guy. They could be right. It was so lound and clear.
Unless they had a mic close to the crowd?
that was a pretty good card and my boy nate by KO![]()

Damn...Alves has to face a top 5 WW in his next fight...he's a force...
I actually felt bad for Hironaka...he took a brutal beating...![]()
Update on Din's injury...
either an torn MCL or ACL. Considering he was talking about retiring before...I am sure it will happen.
http://www.mmanews.com/ufc/Update-On...rn-MCLACL.html
Considering it requires surgery and some time to heal, etc. I think we may have seen the last of Din.
Yea, that blows...you have to feel for the guy. For that to happen after all the training for that fight...
Knees are weird like that...doesn't take much force at the wrong angle and it goes. I blew out my ACL in 8th grade and again in 9th grade...it sucks ass...
Miller vs Garcia is a great fight...Miller might throw more sub attempts than anybody I've seen...![]()
Miller, Alves, and Veres post fight interviews...

KENNY!!! le shot soon?
Alves is a beast baby.
Leben...well ill give the credit, if the fight went another minute or so i think we would have seen a draw.
