One year in fantasy basketball, two guys were trying to make an extremely lopsided trade and several people, myself included, vetoed it. I don't remember what the trade was but I'd liken it to trading Beno for Tony Parker... something where someone's getting screwed hard and either doesn't know it or doesn't care.
Anyway, the dude that would have benefited from that trade wasn't happy, and since this was a league that we were doing at work, he talked to a few of the guys and got them on board to veto everyone else's trades for the rest of the season and sure enough if you tried to make a trade, it was vetoed in a matter of hours.
I don't remember how he fared in the playoffs other than he lost, but I didn't qualify for the playoffs a few days before they started, I dumped my lineup except for Spurs players and filled my roster with Spurs FAs. Normally I wouldn't do something like that since I still had to play the consolation bracket, but getting your work buddies to people out of making legit trades is pretty low.
