i put this out there once before, nobody bit, but i had wondered if the celtics' success merely reflects what we'd see if the suns were put out in the east. the suns beat the jazz 103-98, pretty close to tonight's 104-98.

Plus the game was in Utah and the Jazz were embarassed last night at LAL. So you expected they will come out motivated especially against the best team in the NBA record wise.

Let's see how the Celts do against the Mavs, Suns, or healthy Spurs before we start crowning their asses. Their bench is still not all that.

I think they will split the 2 games with those teams. The bench might not be all that but they are good enough. Plus they have 2 spots open lets see who they add.

Jazz made stupid mistakes in the crunch, the game was close down to the wire.

Mavs and Suns are playing inconsistent ball right now, so I would take the Celtics over them.

One thing I noticed is that Celtics go to chucker Pierce as their guy in the 4th, KG is still nowhere to be found. The only one that scares me in the crunch is Ray Allen.

garnett has a history of fading away during the clutch ever since he was drafted by minny. he'll be there to set screens, play D, rebound, but he wont be the one making big shots. pierce will probably be the go to guy due to his ability to draw fouls. ray allen plays the role of spot up shooter who'll get the ball if left open.

IDK if Udoka is strong enough to prevent Pierce from attacking the basket and drawing fouls.

This is why it's crucial that Pop gives Ime more minutes this season, so he can develop into a consistant player

Great day to be a Boston fan. Pats make history, Red Sox are set to defend their le, and the Celtics keep on winning and making haters even more pissed and jealous of this badass sports city. Life is just great here!

lol @ horry on pierce. do you want to win or not ?

we're just going to have to pick our poison when the celtics come to town. one of the wings should have a good game because bruce is only one man. one thing i have noticed with boston, there is plenty of talk about how KG needs to be in the post more, but when he is away from the basket it seems to really open up the lanes for drives the basket since he draws a big away from the basket.

but anyway, no doubt when the spurs finally play celtics its going to be the biggest game of the year.

i think horry could be effective against pierce whenever pierce decides to post up. horry still has some mobility on those old legs of his. wouldn't matter. since it would seem the spurs would have the most difficulty against pierce, then let him be the poison. let him beat the spurs on his own. lock everyone up and throw away the key and let pierce bail them out.

hmm... elson on garnett so duncan would be free to roam around on D?

elson would have no chance, and if timmy has to come over and help, someone will be left open.
