Interesting stat, I wouldn't of thought it was that high.
Both the Colts and the Cowboys essentially conceded their week 17 matches in favor of resting regulars. You have to wonder if it messed up their momentum. In all, 34 of 41 Superbowl winners (82.9%) have won their last regular season game. This season, three of the four teams remaining also ended their seasons with a win. The only team that lost was a Giants squad that nearly upended the undefeated team.
I have never been a fan of resting regulars. I think history speaks for itself.

it certainly is debatable as to how much the cowboys conceded the first half of the washington game.
at the very least, they were playing for some statistical markers, and struggling to get even those.
i do think that when you have some key players struggling heading into week 17, you have to think long and hard about allowing them to play through their slump, even if it might take 4 quarters.
