I hope Joe Gibbs enjoys his Five Guys burger with you rather than game-planning this week.
FiveGuys is about a 20 minute drive from my place, so I got to listen to a lot of the post-game call-ins.

Funniest ideas: seize the team from Synder, and get Devin Hester.

They can but they wont. Giants are overrated chodes who beat ty teams to make the playoffs. Tampa isnt anything special. Giants dying to get their asses kicked in the superbowl but they wont come out of the NFC or even win another playoff game.
The Giants have a lot of talent. If Eli is hot they can take out the Cowboys. Dallas isn't that good imo.

I wasn't referring to you, Blaze, and the others who are just poor, misguided souls.

I was talking about Mav/Cowboy Fan.
    Cool.

But you had to like the circus music reference.

I admit I'm a bandwagon Redskins fan. I hopped on in '81. This loss hurts because I have seen Coach Gibbs work miracles. For a minute yesterday, I thought I was watching divine intervention in the 4th Quarter.

I wouldn't consider you a bandwagon fan. If you liked them, then gave up on them, then gone back then yes but it doesn't matter when you start liking a team, its sticking with them through good and bad times that matters.

I have stuck with them, especially through the Norv Turner era.

But I have to admit I followed the team sporadically through the Schottenheimer/Spurrier era. I quit playing Madden football right around that time and I just spent too much of my life devoted to a video game and the NFL. Sporadically meaning, I probably watched every National telecast and went to the Sport Bar on the Sundays I had free time.

Though I hope the Chargers win it all, I don't consider myself a Charger fan. I have always been a fan of Norv Turner. You don't just replace Joe Gibbs. I thought Norv got a bit of a raw deal.

The Giants can beat the Cowboys in Dallas. Should be an interesting game.
Yes it should and NY is certainly capable. They are good on the road and Eli plays well against Dallas. Can the Giants win? Certainly....but so can the Cowboys.

?? What kind of a statement is that? They aren't playing a Pop Warner team, this is another professional team who made the playoffs. Even the Dolphins can beat the Patriots or anyone else if they catch them on the right day. Anyone can win the game, but the Cowboys are the better team in this matchup. Just like every other compe ive sport on earth, football is about matchups. Some teams match up very well with one opponent but ty against another. The Cowboys have shown that they match up very well against the Giants and the matchup favors the Cowboys.

I don't know what you're drinking, but the Giants clearly match up very well with the Cowboys. Of course it doesn't matter if we don't win in Green Bay though.

    How do you figure that?

2 matchups this season to go off of:

2 Cowboy wins by 10+ points.

Cowboys offensive line matches up with the Giants D Line who all are pass rush happy but lack against the run. This is one of the teams the Cowboys can and have run against successfully.

Eli Manning is a hot/cold QB but seems to play at least decent against the Cowboys. That said, his main weapon against the weakness of the Cowboys defense, Shockey, is out. The backup TE doesn't have the game of Shockey or the confidence of the QB to be utilized to attack Roy Williams nearly as much as Shockey did.

Romo is a hot/cold QB at times, although more consistent than Manning. Romo lights up the Giants twice this season, including the 2nd game in the Meadowlands when the Giants were on a big roll and winning streak. This occurs because the Giants' LB (now minus Kiwanuka) don't match up well against Witten and Owens commands double coverage from the secondary. If Romo has the protection that he has had in two meetings against the Giants then he tears that coverage up. The Giants go blitz happy to try to get pressure (as their D coordinator was taught in Philly) and hot reads are open all day. If Romo is remotely on this is another big passing game to go with a better running game than against teams like Washington or Philly.

Burress is a big play receiver, but the Giants need a #2 guy to step up to keep Burress from getting blanketed all day. In the past that was Shockey, but now I have no idea who is capable. Toomer was at one time and may be again on the right day, but at this stage of his career I wouldn't count on it.

Again, there are 8 quarters worth of film to go over in this matchup, and not much of it points to the Giants owning an advantage in the matchup. Most of it shows the matchup advantages of the Cowboys against the Giants, with the one big matchup advantage the Giants have not even playing in the game (Shockey).

So, do you have some technical knowledge to retort and back up your statement? Or were you just saying that because you're pre-conditioned to hate the Cowboys and thought it was the thing to say?

Burress is healthy now. Jacobs is 265 lbs. Giants have a good pass rush. Eli is hot. That is all the technical knowledge I need you Cowboy homer.
