Not if we play Bonner and Elson. You're ed if we don't play small-ball. You'd better hope Bynum is still out.
to me , really. bynum shmynum

No way he makes it next year.
What a tale of two halves. Duncan and Finley really kept the Spurs within sight in the first half. Ginobli's steals and hustle, Barry's 3's, Udoka's flawless play, and the continue dominance of Duncan really carved the Laker team up in the 2nd half.
Really impressed with Udoka's defense and his offense is a bonus. Beautiful 3's and sweet midrange jumper as well. He and Bowen did a beautiful job on Kobe. I thought Finley did a good job the 2 times he was on Kobe and really kept Odom quiet. Not an easy thing to do.
like i said in another thread tonight, its so obvious to real spurs fans what going on.the rest of the league lets us just go through the motions all season long. and then its too late
youre a re there is no way bynum=Duncan, any game any team ever. yes we still would have won, provided we came out playing the same way in the second half (its not about who scored but how we scored) it might have been by two or four but it wtill would have happened.
well said![]()

Over who....Does anyone here think Bynum will not make the All-Star team next season?
Did I say Bynum is as good as Duncan? I'm saying they impact the game in a similar fashion.
The offense stalled in the 3rd because we couldn't run through the post. With Bynum the offense becomes less stagnated because you really have to double team him when he gets the ball down low, leaving Kobe or a shooter wide open. That's part of the reason why our offense is #3 in the NBA.
guys, after 644 posts, 25 pages I think DazedandConfused is still dazed and confused why they lost![]()
Uh, Tim Duncan can guard Bynum, so uh, no.With Bynum the offense becomes less stagnated because you really have to double team him when he gets the ball down low
The most important position in the league is center.
Centers provide shot blocking which makes up mistakes for perimeter defenders.
Centers provide high percentage nearly guaranteed points.
Centers provide you with more posessions with their rebounding ability.
Even though Bynum is not polished, he's our best player because of his defensive impact, his rebounding, and his post presence
thats the damn truth, and thats why we won.![]()
man, I hate to pick on you. but there wa a time out called with about 5 or 6 to play in the third that belonged to the lakers. somone other than dazedandconfused please tell me i'm wrong.
1 timeout called, no subs utions made other than Sasha coming in. By then the damage was done.
Again this is what Phil does, he sacrifices regular season games to teach lessons to his players. He and Pop coach very differently, Phil doesn't coddle his players.
It seems Kobe really likes Manu! I never saw him so nicely to an opponent.
Yeah Pop coddle's his players
What a stupid ass statement...
Kobe has stated in the past iirc that he has mad respect for manu and loves his game.It seems Kobe really likes Manu! I never saw him so nicely to an opponent.
I'll give you that. bynum helps create Offense in a similar way that Duncan does, with the intensity on d we were showing there is no saying that Bynum would have even touched the ball in the third.Spurs owned the Lakers in the third, and most of the fourth, and thats all im trying to get you to say (without blaming it on anyone.)
nearly all of our points came form outside the paint, again. Just admit you were outplayed without blaming it on injurys or coaches. damn your stuborn.
thanks (and your a lakers fan.)
Pop will do some things that make me wonder but one he doesn't do is coddle players.
Got damn popcoddlers.
But whatever....
