Lebron probably can in the next couple of years he is only 23 years old! And Magic could have probably done it without Kareem too. Yes Teams can be built around Big guards if they have a component big Man. They don't need a dominate one just one that is decent and they can contend!

Kobe is a franchise player don't sound stupid!

And Tim has never won a le by himself..and neither has Jordan he had Scottie and perfect role players. Lebron needs one other player and he can definitley contend and probably win a le. If Lebron had Boozer still on the team the Cavs would be scary!
LeBron is in no way a guard. He's a power-forward/guard hybrid, if anything. He's got more strength than Magic ever had. If he wasn't so good with ball-handling, he'd make a of a 3/4 for ANY team in the league.

As it is, he can play every position except center, so I don't think he's an exception like Jordan. He's an exception unto himself. And someday very soon he's going to be the best basketball player on planet Earth.

Pop will do some things that make me wonder but one he doesn't do is coddle players.
I mean coddle as in the second you do something wrong I'm calling a timeout and explaining it to you. Phil doesn't do that, he teaches during practice and expects his players to execute during the game with little in-game coaching from him. That's why he only called one timeout and made zero subs utions in the 3rd. This works when you have smart veterans, not so much when you're the second youngest team in the NBA.

I apologize guys for being a petty little . I was just venting my frustrations after an extremely frustrating loss. You have no idea how much it hurts to see Kwame Brown in there bricking dunks and layups that Bynum was converting with ease.

Good luck for the rest of the season, hopefully we face again when both are healthy. Looking forward to that matchup!

Yeah when Beno Udrih played one time for an injured Tony Parker, thats how I felt too.

nearly all of our points came form outside the paint, again. Just admit you were outplayed without blaming it on injurys or coaches. damn your stuborn.
It's pretty obvious the Lakers would have won this game if Bynum was healthy. No way the Spurs would have gone on a 14-0 run to start the 2nd half. He is our second best player and a true inside presence offensively and defensively. Take him out and we're only an average team. Injuries are a part of the game so it's no excuse, but don't fool yourself thinking Bynum's (and to a lesser extent Ariza's) injuries had nothing to do with this win for you guys. It was a major factor and probably the only reason you guys took this game.

As for a seven game series with the Lakers healthy and you guys in playoff mode, I still give you guys the edge. But not anywhere close to what you guys think. Let's see if you guys can finally put up back to back championships. Because the team of the decade is still up for grabs and I like our odds with Kobe and Bynum.

You must not have seen the games against the Warriors or the Pistons. Pop is very good in forcing his team to 'figure things out on their own.' And if Pop coddles, Tony wouldn't be the player he is now.

It seems Kobe really likes Manu! I never saw him so nicely to an opponent.
He doesn't want Pops to cry to league again after getting suspended for slapping Manu last season.

IMO, Kobe likes compe ion. He is one of the few superstars that doesn't when Bowen d's him up. He is going to try and bust your ass for 48 minutes and has respect for those who do the same, even it its towards him.

I could not agree with this more. Kobe loves a challenge.

Nice win by the Spurs last night. First half the lakers were tough. But when you d' them up and they start missing a few shots they fall a part a little.

The Lakers will give somebody fits come playoff time. But they don't quite have enough to get the le game, not even with Bynum healthy. But they are close. Next year they will be one of the Favorites in the West along with the Spurs, Mavs and Suns.

Good win for the spurs against a depleted Lakers team. Doesn't prove anything but a win is a win.

It was a great win as they get a good win and cover the points. $
