The Bad: That would suck.True enough.
Although I'm not sure how much "better" I'd be to lose against the Mavs, Lakers or ..................... Suns.

I don't know ... Mike D'Antoni celebrating after finally beating the Spurs would be extremely hard to stomach.

Ehh, that be in the WCF or WCSF, not the NBA Finals. It's always worst I think to come out as the 2nd best team in the league...losing to the champ because a team comes so close and far and there can only be one winner. It sucked that the Spurs lost to the Mavs in 06...but I'd have been about 100X more pissed if the Spurs had gone to the Finals and gotten beat.
All I know is the Spurs aren't going to lose to the Heat in the Finals after having a 2-0 lead in the series.
Now the Pats will be compared to the Mavs instead of the Spurs.
I feel the same. Every year, I'd rather the Spurs not make the Finals than get there and lose. I couldn't handle that.

I think this thread is ridiculous. Lol @ spurs fans who are happy the pats lost so that the Spurs own the le as greatest sports dynasty of the 21st century. Don't get me wrong, I was going for the Giants for the very same reason, but it is still hilarious.

There are a lot of reasons to be happy the Patriots lost. Principal among them is the end of comparisons between them and the Spurs, at least for me. A classless organization led by a classless coach doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as far as I'm concerned. Glad to have any reason to tap dance in the shattered debris of their dreams.
