EliteXC: Street Certified is an upcoming mixed martial arts event promoted by EliteXC scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the BankUnited Arena in Miami, Florida.
The main card will air free live on Showtime at 10p.m. EST.The main event features the return of Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson as he takes on UFC veteran David "Tank" Abbott, a match originally scheduled for October 2007 in Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

I am for sure predicting Kimbo for the TKO.
And does he have a chance? I think so. Not sure to what level. According to people who train with him he is taking MMA very seriously.

EliteXC is going to run into a problem here...they don't have a deep HW division (who does?) and now they will have to have their two biggest stars face off against each other soon.

He's not a real fighter. He was a freak that PRIDE brought in so their stars could KO him and he just keeps getting fights!

Does Kimbo get the BS modified rules like Fedor got? For the Yarennoka card knees were allowed except for Choi. He couldn't use them to ensure Fedor won.
Telling ya…this Fedor farce is huge.
And it doesn't need to be a farce..he is good enough to beat top talent more times than not. They are trying to turn him into Rickson Gracie.

Dude...Ricco showed me something...I was surprised. What did you think?
I think he should stay right where he is and fight some bottom feeders until he gets his head on straight.
He showed me he needs to get into shape.Actually, he didn't look too bad. He really needs to work on his standup though. His takedowns are also need a fair amount of work, but you can attribute that to strenght training and conditioning.
Yves Edwards has a nice KO though. I always say that people holding the one leg need a nice knee to the head. Yves heard me and answered appropriately.

So we still don't know how good Kimbo is, or how good he can be…
Ricco impressed the out of me. I expected him to get smoked. First time we’ve seen Silva in later rounds and he slowed a bit. I still think Silva’s combo of size, speed, agility, and ground game makes him a top guy in the future. He’s down to 260 lbs...never expected him to get down to that. I thought 265 would be hard for him…
Yves Edwards KO is at the top of my all time favorite KO list…
Glad to see Scott Smith get the win… of a KO.
