    the brilliance of duncan and robinson together was that during that first championship season, other teams just gave up trying to score inside - it was almost impossible.

    meanwhile, amare is the worst post defender in the league and shaq is only slightly better.

    yeah...that comparison makes no sense.

    There is no comparison.

    Duncan was 21 years old when he arrived in SA and he was a winner from day one with flawless technique and great ability. There was no acclimation time for TD.

    David was 33 years old and still an offensive and defensive force in 1998. I saw those two kick a lot of Mavie butt back in the days when I could go to Reunion Arena and hang with all the Spurs fans. Good times.

    Amare plays 47 of the 94 feet and Shaq is just about ready for the glue factory. By next year, all that weight will continue to degrade his knees and hip joints. Don't worry about that combo lasting for long.
