While I would like to have Cromartie. He's not coming here. I want Mendenhall too and he's not coming here. However, Talib from KU is not a bad alternative to Cromartie. Pick him up at 22. We are in desperate need of a 3rd corner, folks.

I don't want to trade up for McFadden.

Barber is a solid back, all we need to do is find someone who will split carries with him.
We can draft Felix Jones, who's as good as McFadden and will cost less.
You might have a shot at Jones but he is not Darren McFadden dude.

This is what he did as a back-up as a Razorback.

    I'll take that.

IMO not as good as McFadden but would be a great fit for Dallas. Maybe actually better than McFadden. D-Mac is a #1 back, Dallas has one of those, they need a good complementary back which Jones has proven he can be.

So you'll take Wes Welker over Randy Moss because he had more catches?

There's a reason Wes Welker had a great year as a slot receiver, and there's a reason Felix Jones had a great career at Arkansas as a change of pace back - they both had a gamebreaker lining up with them to take away the attention of the defense.

To say Felix Jones is as good as McFadden is about as ignorant as it gets.

Felix Jones is a great fit, and he's exactly what the Cowboys need - a change of pace speed back who is most effective in his first 10 carries. He doesn't need a "warm up" period to get into the flow of the game, and I would agree that he's probably a better fit for Dallas, if you're commited to Barber being the feature back.

But he's nowhere near the complete back that McFadden is, and he can't dominate a game the way McFadden can.

Tom Brady was backup to Brian Griese for two years in college.

So, by your rationale, Brady should suck ass and Griese should be the star.

So Tom Brady as a freshman/sop re is supposed to beat out a highly touted junior/senior who would lead his team to a NC? McFadden/Jones are both juniors.

Get back to me when you know what the you're talking about. Or just go post in the Quattro cuz you've proven your football stupidity yet again.

Mcfadden is by far the better back...I think a good comparison would be in minny where you have a good back like chester taylor who can grind out yards, but then you have peterson who can take the distance everytime he touches the ball..Mcfadden is def. a guy who has the chance of breaking a long run evertime he is handed the ball.

Agreed, even though McFadden has yet to prove that on Sundays.

Although I have a feeling we won't have to wait too long to see that.

Seriously... the thought of an offense with Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Terry Glenn, Patrick Crayton, and Jason Whitten as your recieving crew... is ing terrifying. Completely blows away the Patriots crew.

    Moss=Moss
    Owens >>>>>>>>>>>>> Stallworth
Glenn >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Welker (most overrated WR in the NFL)
    Crayton > Gaffney
    Whitten >>>>>>>> Watson
    Welker isn't overrated.

i think it would be idiotic for the cowboys to trade up for mcfadden, especially if that involves getting rid of barber...whom, imo, is/will be a better back than mcfadden. when i first heard of the trade idea i was like, "wtf?" a bird in the hand, my friend, a bird in the hand...

...anyway, i hate the cowboys so whatever.

McFadden could be a bust in the NFL. It could happen, look at Reggie Bush. Barber has proven himself. Dallas would be stupid to let him go right now.
