MIAMI (AP) -- Special teams standout Keith Davis signed Tuesday with the Miami Dolphins after spending the past five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys.

His agent, Curtis Stephens, confirmed the signing. The Dolphins said they had no immediate announcements.

Davis will play for new Miami coach Tony Sparano, a former Cowboys assistant, and joins a team that went 1-15 last year.

He was the Cowboys' special teams captain. He made 69 tackles on special teams in the past four years and also has 22 career starts at safety.

Davis was an undrafted free agent in 2002 out of Sam Houston State.
