Although Nash was born in Johannesburg, he's still Canadian.
Do you agree with this list?
ESPN
Although Nash was born in Johannesburg, he's still Canadian.
What's your point?
If Tim Duncan plays for the US, he is not an international player. I think thats just stupid the way people consider him international.
He's listed as south-african on that link. Nothing else.
And Parker is French.
Place of birth has nothing to do with your nationality.
Agreed. I never liked how the NBA markets him as an international talent, and then he's able to play for the US national team... He's either international or he's not. Of course, given that they pegged Nash as South African, I'm guessing they're going by place of birth, not nationality.
damn, a lot of talent there. you could form 3 or 4 pretty good 5 man NBA teams with those guys
especially offensively. imagine...
Nash
Ginobili
Peja
Dirk
Duncan
thats some serious points right there. everyone except duncan is an exceptional shooter from all spots on the court. and despite some defensive deficiencies, Duncan will make them all better defensively. that would be a scary lineup.
Imagine a team with the first five of those players on a team together.
this team would kick serious ass:
Nash
Manu
Turkoglu
Duncan
Dalembert
Since Kobe loves futbol and hangs out with ronaldinho, He should be on that list! =).
It's a great list, but I don't agree with their assessment on Yao and pau. The writer makes it seem like they're prone to injuries. When you play all year round, you're bound to get a toe infection that sidelines you for 30 games or so =/. As for Pau, The image of his fellow comrades carrying him off the court in the fiba games will live on forever.
Duncan is American, his place of birth made him American and he plays for the US national team. Why is he still considered as international after all these years he's been in the league as an American?
He should have done the ranking based on citizenship, but I think he wanted to include Tim Duncan and that's why he came up with his crazy and ignorant rules.
Nash was born in south africa, but he represents Canada? Since Duncan was born in the VI and represents the US shouldnt say if JJ Barea was an all-star be able to represent the US too
Nash is Canadian, Duncan is American and Barea is Puerto Rican. None of them but Duncan is able to represent the US, because he is American. Every inhabitant of US Virgin Islands is. Does it take a genius to get that?
