Congrats to DAL and the fans of the mavericks on the win. They played better than the hornets and earned it.
Great win for DAL tonight. They left it all on the floor

If the Hornets want to run their offense through Pargo, fine by me. Paul didn't do tonight. Avery actually had a good defensive game plan.
I was at the game and of course you can't really get the full scoop without the announcers and when you're in the upper deck, but how bad was the flagrant by Dampier at the end? Is it Flagrant Two-ish?
Findog is spot on. If NOH wants to run their offense through Pargo then let them. He isn't going to beat you. Chris Paul carving up your defense and dishing out 17 assists will.
Dallas attacked the basket while the Hornets settled for jumpers. They were also at home. Nothing to see here, move along...
Taking Kidd off Paul was actually genius. Paul was supposed to torch anybody who was on him, so instead of having Terry be slow to close out on the 3 point shooter, he's got Kidd doing that job, and Kidd cut off a ton of passing lanes. Kidd proved tonight that he's the smartest guy on the court every time he's out there.
Lol listing Chris Paul at 6ft is very generous..in reality he's about 5ft 9, 5ft 10 tops. He's shorter than Iverson who was quoted saying he's "6ft standing on a phonebook."
Absolutely deserving of a Flagrant One and that is it. No way do they upgrade it. Then again, Fuehrer Stern is the one calling the shots, so you never know.
Any minute now Aggie Hoops will come on here talking about how Dampier should be banned from the league and charged with attempted murder. That alone should tell you it was only a F1.
Yeah, Terry did as well on Paul as you could possibly ask for. The rotations were a lot better too, they definitely defended the p'n'r better and were able to funnel Paul to spots he didn't want to go, while also sealing off Chandler's rolls to the basket. Of course, he was in foul trouble and the Hornets didn't shoot well, so it's hard to tell in person in Section 322 how much of that is Dallas defending well and the Hornets just sucking.
Nice win for us tonight, but the Hornets are still firmly in control of this series. That won't change until they surrender HCA, and I have yet to see evidence that we can win a tight road game in the playoffs. That's pretty much where this thing is at right now.
Yep, Pargo can hurt you, but Paul will kill you.
As much as I liked what I saw from DAL tonight I still think NOH takes the series. They will make adjustments and probably steal the next game and then close out at home.
I hope you're wrong but that's been my gut reaction after the way Paul absolutely raped us in New Orleans. Although...
the Hornets haven't won in Dallas since 1998. If they don't do it Sunday, then this thing is going seven.
atx er is nowhere to be found..interesting.......![]()
Yeah, but Hornets still have a vice-grip on this series. Still an uphill climb.
Not implying anything good on the Mavs part, I still say we lose this series in 6. Just pointing out that the little can dish it out but can't take it.
Yeah, he's a little .
I just saw that Dampier foul on Sportscenter. No ing way that's an F2. Fix is in if he gets suspended.
I was just surprised that it took until the end of the game for someone to give CP a flagrant foul. I expected him to get knocked down in the first couple of minutes.
Yeah.
Dallas is full of post players and guys that take it to the rack.
GTFO of here.
NO was getting a ton of calls? Lol.
I actually WANT the Mavs to win but seriously, stfu you blind dumb .
Needing a W to stay alive, Mavs got a gutsy, decisive, convincing win. Congrats.
I look forward to 2-2, 6 games, push it to 7. Spurs start resting Sunday evening.

That's what I'm thinking. LeBron is the league's Golden Child, you're not allowed to look at him usually, and Haywood knocked him down after he had left his feet and up in the air. I guess Dampier technically did not "make a play on the ball," but he WAS trying to protect his basket by cutting off Paul's angle for the layup. That's barely an F1.
I bet Damp could crack some skulls if he wanted to.
