Flame me all you want but we are coming back to win this series. We can't keep missing open jumpers this long. Houston Rockets 1995.
I have to agree with you. The Hornets sure as look like the better team right now. If this pathetic performance is the best the Spurs can muster, they're gonna get swept. Even if they do manage to squeak by the Hornets, NFW will they beat the Lakers or the Celtics/Pistons...no repeat this year, sorry...I thought they had a good chance after dispatching the Suns in 5 games, but I just don't see it right now.
The Hornets may very well be the best team in the NBA right now. They can beat the Celtics.

Gotta give props to the Hornets. You guys made the Spurs look old.
The body language of the Spurs tells me they know the Hornets are a puzzle they can't solve.
No doubt. Home cookin' in Games 3 and 4. Barry needs more PT.
y or not Chris Paul is the truth. He was playing the Spurs defense like puppets all night.
The ty thing is that Timmy was alright tonight and everyone else went MIA. If they could all just come to play together we'd have a great chance... I'm not giving up on this team. No ing way.
There's no way the Silver & Black can win 4 of 5 from these guys. They are that much better than us.
We bow out Sunday night.
EDIT: We bow out Friday.

So much for the repeat
+1 The Spurs never met a team they couldn't eventually defeat...until now. I realistically see the Spurs getting swept, and all 4 games being blowouts.
This is not how I wanted the Spurs to go out this season. Every repeat year, its the semi-finals that kills the Spurs.
Spurs win Game 3.
Hornets win Game 4.
Hornets close it out in Game 5.
The era ends.
There's just no denying that CP3 is amazing. And only in his second year?? Damn!
Put Bowen on peja, man up on everyone else, and let cp3 do whatever on his own
Series ain't over. But if the Spurs keep playing like this, it'll be over in 5 games easily. CP is pin-n-rolling us to death like we did to the Suns.
No shame in losing to a superior team. The Hornets are simply better, much better, than the Spurs at every position. The Spurs have no chance whatsoever to win even a single game, let alone the series.
This reminds me of 01 versus the Lakers. We didn't have a chance against them.
This shouldn't be a surprise. Byron's suckered Pop into 4down forever on offense.
Who else would take the sucker bet that if you take Tim out of the equation and ask the rest of the Spurs to beat you with jumpers from 20 feet out, they could do it four games out of seven? Because that's what stupid ass Popo has done.
He's nowhere near the height of his powers. Neither is David West.
We need a little drama this repeat year.
Everyone who is quitting on the team needs to snap out of it. We've got too much pride to go out like a bunch of chumps.
You mean make adjustments? You think Popovich has it in him?![]()
The Spurs did that the last time they beat them.
Wow. That is kinda harsh Tampa. These two games are pure mental. The Suns blew the team out late in the season and they recovered to win the series. This has a different feel. ...and Why is Peja acting like Superman when it looked like he was washed up after the Kings let him go a few years ago? Any thoughts?
