The question is: How many speed traps would you go through?
How long would it take to drive all around 1604 to where you started from?, I'm sure you could just measure it, but I'm too lazy, with moderate traffic.
my guess is 2.2, hours give or take an hour

I've always wanted to try that....maybe 410 too?
Depends BIG TIME on what time of day you'd go thru the Rolling Ridge to Culebra stretch.
hunter the reckoning is a cheap ripoff of bo malette
410 takes over an hour. 1604 has to be probably twice the distance, plus it's not all freeway, only probably 40%. My guess is about 2:30 or so to drive all the way around.
Do a google or mapquest route and use the plot time feature. You may ned to separate the trip into quarters since it probably won't plot the thing in one run.
I would also guess that 1604 has mile markers, with averaging you can get a rough estimate of the distance and time of travel.
I did 410 with some friends, when I was a younger Taco I Forgot how long it took but I new it took half a bottle of Jack Daniels![]()
Do unmanned cars count?
The only thing funnier than the pseudo speed trap is the fact that they announced on tv that they were doing it.
We did the 1604 loop when I first started driving. I don't think our time would mean much now, though....back then the death loop was mostly only 2 lanes.![]()
I got married at Los Patios which is at the Starcrest exit and live off of Vance Jackson...My wife had a young son from a previous marriage and her sister from out of town stayed at our house to get the kids ready for the wedding while we went on ahead for photos etc...we told her to take 410 to Starcrest...but someone forgot to tell her to turn left on 410...she turned right instead......When they didn't show up for the wedding I just opened the bar and told everyone to have a good time...we weren't starting without him...she drove all the way around San Antonio on 410 and got there almost an hour late...
...
I did the same thing (refreshments included) about 15 years ago with a friend because we were bored to death on a Thursday night. Subtracting out the time we took to relieve ourselves next to a biker bar on the West Side, we figured it took us about an hour to make it all the way around 410.
We've talked about doing this. I think you could probably count on it taking at least 2 hours.
that is why san antonio is the number one city in the u.s. for drunk drivers!
im not sure how long it would take
are you driving a tahoe or a yukon?
Well SW, we could try it when we go to Fiesta Texas this weekend?
If you care to suffer through 2+ hours of "Are we there yet?" I'm game.![]()
So the kids will sit inside the truck? That's new!![]()
Death Loop is Right!
If you make it around the son of a ...seems everytime i open the Metro Section or on Page one of the Newspaper there's a damn nasty killer wreck on the loop. that thing i'll stay off it![]()
I used to drive 410 around all the time, either when my insomnia was bad or I got a new CD and wanted to drive around and listen to the whole thing without actually going anywhere. It's about an hour, and late at night it's not a bad drive. I'd like to try 1604.
It's kind of funny, because you now never know when an odd cop car is real. Might even increase tickets for locals who frequent that stretch. I've done both loops, nice if you only spend most of your time in one part of town.Do unmanned cars count?
The only thing funnier than the pseudo speed trap is the fact that they announced on tv that they were doing it.
Too funny! Thing is, I used to do things like that too & now wonder why or how.it took half a bottle of Jack Daniels
How long after they add the toll roads all along the north arc of 1604.
I Feel a ROAD TRIP GTG coming up!!!
Who's got a big van?!?!
or you can all load up in the back of my truck.![]()
