Calls even out over a 7 game series.
I think that's the problem. The calls should even out over the course of a game, not a series.

If cp3 is really throwing his shoulder and elbow into defenders every time, why can't the defenders just "pull the chair" on him. anticipate the contact and evade it, throwing off his shot. then the next time, stand your ground and knock him back, and the next time flop. if he is dependent on contact from your body, use that against him

He's not going to get fined. He didn't say it in his postgame interviews, he said it during the game and to no one in particular. I'm sure a lot of players say a lot of things in the heat of the moment in a game.

I do agree that it's about time those offensive calls were called on him. He does it every single time. However, I don't expect them to be called in Game 7. So if the Spurs are relying on the refs to help them, they're due for a long night.

If this was being publically talked about on a nationally syndicated radio show(Patrick), then Stern will know about it, and he will do something about it.

I'm thinking he's gonna punch someone's nutsack in game 7 if he doesn't get the calls. Hopefully it'll be one of the refs.

Did he really think they were going to beat the Spurs on their homecourt? Only the Pistons can win on the road this year...

I loved the play in the first have when he touched shoes with Tony and took a dive.

I'm really starting to dislike CP3 the more I watch him play.

Paul will be getting a call from the League.

Impugning the refs and the NBA will get a fine.

Too bad they couldn't suspend him for Game 7...but, nah...then there would be a gigantic * on this series if (when) the Spurs won it.

I can't blame him for thinking he was jobbed. I mean, for 5 1/2 games he was allowed to throw himself into the defender and knock him backwards on his way to the basket... he probably thought that was legal. Suddenly, 264 minutes into the series, the refs start making calls that follow the rules of basketball and it takes him out of his game.

Hopefully he gets similarly jobbed in Game 7. I cannot believe it took that long for him to get a f'ing offensive foul called on him. Of course, that's one of the drawbacks cheering for a team who rarely ever complains about calls after the game... most other coaches would have called CF3 out after Game 1 or 2 and drawn more attention to his bull .

Correct me if I am wrong here, but the refs review every game to see if they miss stuff, or called something wrong, and do after action reports.

The refs might have missed a good chunk of it earlier, or let some stuff slide, but they will catch consistant patterns eventually.

It seemed to me that the spurs were getting mugged in the first few games, and that the refs have tried to clamp down on that a bit, from both sides.

Ah well. We'll see about game 7.

He had been getting away with pushing off all series long. Game seven will be a game where the refs are going to let them play in the fourth quarter. The refs will swallow their whistles and let them play.

Did Josh Howard get fined by the league for his comments a couple weeks ago?

If this was being publically talked about on a nationally syndicated radio show(Patrick), then Stern will know about it, and he will do something about it.
It's not like CP3 actually went on the Dan Patrick show and said this...

Players say a lot worse during the course of the game, I don't get why this is such a scandalous thing as many people are making it.

Yes it was DA comment made by CP3, but I'm sure DUncan and Parker said worse in NO during Game 5 when all those calls weren't going their way. Difference is, no one in the media relayed those comments in their articles.

Let's face it, the refs have become the third team on the court and the players and coaches have to learn to adjust to how they call the game. It sucks that they can play such a huge role in the outcome, but it doesn't look like that is going to change. Both the Spurs and Hornets would do well to just play their game and hold their heads high that they did the best they could, regardless of the end result.

I don't care about whether he is fined or whatever. I was curious if he would be. However, I started the thread because I can't stand this guy. Everyone makes him out to be a darling. He's a punk and I want the Spurs to kick his butt out of the playoffs.

Thanks for pointing this out. No doubt CP3 and the Hornets bigs have been getting away with strange all series long (moving picks, CP3 throwing himself into people, etc, etc)

Perhaps the refs continue to call things correctly. It's gonna be a battle either way.

Just the fact that the refs change so much from venue to venue is insane... the home team usually gets the calls. It's just the way it is, but it sucks. Don't think we won't get a lot of crappy calls on Monday.

I'm shocked that the officials suddenly started calling the offensive fouls Chris Paul commits as much as he is.
Parker does the exact same thing
