Even if Fisher's shot did hit the rim, its a reasonable mistake for the refs to make. That's just a horrid no-call at the end of the game.
Oh the Spurs got their pack in alright. Thanks Stern!

THIS pisses me off even more than the ing non-call.
EVERY SINGLE SPURS PLAYER defending the call!!! WTF? Pop, Barry, Tony all say it was a non call and no foul. Even in Phil Jackson admited it was a foul (after which he proceeded to state about 5 non-calls that went the Lakers way)
The San Anphonio Sterns ahve been getting help from the NBA refs for years. You are not true champs, you are phony champs.
HOWS IT FEEL LOSERS?
![]()
Just jump into the person with the ball, perfect defense.![]()
It's the lakers and celtics, it was determined when the playoffs started. The NBA is a business and needs to make money, period.
Sure it helps, but it shouldn't be necessary, especially on a play like that. I hate the pump fake jump into the contact move, and that's the only thing I don't like about Ginobili's game.
You people are pathetic...at home in the wcf's...you don't let it come down to that...you just don't......does a heavy weight let the fight go to the score cards??? no..you knock the challenger out. spurs didn't do that..they lost...they blew it..lakers kicked their arse all night long...they were lucky to even be in that position....calls went spurs way all night long..deal with it...root for your football,i mean baseball,i mechanical bull riding team and shuuuuuut up.....save your tears for your river walk cuz the san antonio drought is here....hey next year duncan can use his wheelchair when he travels to dunk the ball
i had to register on this second rate board just to tell you dip s what is up.....say goodnight children
I hope you do boycott all Laker games. As if it'd ing matter.
Moron.
The most glaringly obvious foul of the night and not one of those gutless, crooked, betting mother ers had the courage to make the right call. Gino's bad night notwithstanding this series should be tied right now. And the fakers are the best team in the conference? My ass! The fakers are ing dog ! Is this is how they expect to win a le? What a goddamned laugh. I hope the Celtics ing rape them. And for all of you Hollywood got/Laker fans that spew on this forum, I hope a severe earthquake hits LA tonight and kills every last one of you sorry mother ers. That's after the faker charter crashes into Las Vegas and wipes out all of the sonsa es who bet on their sorry, lucky ing asses. And I mean all of this from the bottom of my evil ing heart.
that's actually a pretty good post, probably by accident, but good nonetheless.
Good, the ratings won't need another 50 or so Spurs fans for the ratings anyhow.![]()
If the league wanted a big time final, why would they allow the Spurs to win 4 championships? Their ratings killers.
Selling a call is not flopping. Selling the call would be jumping into Fisher when he was in the air. That is not flopping. That's getting your man into the air and drawing the call. Big difference. Plus it would have been 3 FT's instead of 2. Barry ed up.
I guess the refs were sick of bailing the spurs out all night.
Brent Barry just said that that is never gonna be called. Besides Fisher's shot hit the rim, so the last two calls evened out. There are only conspiracies when the Spurs don't win it? The refs kept the Spurs in the game. Fisher and Odom were in foul trouble all night. Kobe has shot 6 FT's in four games.
Boom "A proper no call" "If I was an official I wouldn't have called that foul." Pop just said that.
Man up Spurs fans. The Lakers (without Bynum) are a better team.
A shot that might have grazed the rim and was easily missed by the ref is different than ignoring a clear foul.
im going to dismiss you very soon.
All of this doesn't matter. If this happened to the Lakers the responses here would be the same.
Maybe it should've been a noncall but if that contact was made against Kobe I guarantee he would have been on the line.
That's why everyone should really be pissed not whether the call should've been made.
Not really. Not the first and definitely won't be the last game decided in this fashion.
The officiating sucked throughout the entire game and it's a disservice to both teams.
Not even in your Peja dreams.
at most it was a 2 ft foul onviously he wasnt in the act of shootin he driblled
There you go. POP says "IT WAS A PROPER NON CALL, IF I WAS THE OFFICIAL I WOULD NOT HAVE CALLED THAT FOUL"
Deal with it!
Obviously they got together and made a decision before anyone got interviewed.
Now could you imagine what would have happened if it was the Lakers on the receiving end?
