Physiologically speaking it's no big deal, but a model that that alters her body so she can live as a man, grows a beard and chest hair, keeps her reproductive organs, and then has a child definitely has some gender confusion issues.

Well I'm sure there are kids being raised in environments that are a lot more screwed up than this one, and I would guess that most of the issues the family will have while raising this child will be based on media attention and not based on a semi-transexual having a child. In the whole scheme of things, this isn't newsworthy.
Which is why it was kind of annoying when this story broke a couple of months ago and it was hyped in a way that implied that this was some major feat of science, when really it's just too much attention being given to a story that you'd normally see only in Ripley's Believe It Or Not! It's simultaneously appealing to our desire for political correctness/tolerance (calling a woman a man because she wants to be called a man) and our somewhat less progressive interest in "freak shows."
Same here. It's not REALLY a man who got pregnant. It's a woman who decided to become a man but kept her plumbing.
So basically it's a woman who looks like a man having a baby.

Definitely not a feat of science. I dont know them personally or read a whole lot about them but why not let the wife do the pregnancy thing, is there something wrong with her? Why take the risk of being the joke of the town/social interest?
And now they're claiming they need support and money (understandably) and are willing to sell their story to anyone for money. Attention s!

I think this is more of a publicity stunt than anything. I doubt she/he genuinely wanted to get pregnant. Now they'll give her/him his own reality show.
