Spurs lost 4-1 to the Los Angeles Lakers. Their franchise savior Tiaggo Splitter decided to resign with his club team. They traded Scola to a franchise rival for nothing. Their best young talent next year is a D-League player. Their entire team outside of Tony Parker is on the wrong side of 30 and will be another year older next season. The entire WC is going to be tougher next season and as of right now there is no reason to believe the Spurs will be better unless they can land a serious impact FA in the offseason which is extremely unlikely given the small market that they play in.

As bad as things are in LA right now, and trust me they are as bad as you can imagine.......there isn't another team in the WC I'd want to trade places with over the next 5 years.

Two things you seem to forget:

1) The Lakers were a mediocre team heading into this season before they got Pau. Who's to say the Spurs won't pick up a major player heading into next season? Players WANT to go to the Spurs because they admire Pop and the way they play. Not some dumbass small market bull excuse.

2) Injuries are a part of sport. Ask Bynum, ask Manu. You're a Kobe knee injury away from eating your words. And who knows how Bynum will respond from his knee.

Oh, by the way, I'm looking forward to you not posting forever if the Spurs win anther championship.

I agree with DazedAndConfused. Many did not leave after the Lakers beat the Spurs. Why would they leave now? The Lakers fans here were on a Spurs message board moments after the Lakers were knocked out in the Finals. That pretty much tells you everything. Some of them claim that the Spurs posters here are unintelligent/combative/hicks, yet they also cite that a reason for staying is that SpursTalk is one of the best sports forums - probably because they haven't already gotten banned for being obnoxious like they would on other forums.
