Posey is much more clutch than I had thought. He seems like a headcase but he's a winner. We need scoring more than defense, but yeah, I'd take Posey way before Sasha. However, with Posey around Udoka would probably just sit on the bench, which would be a waste.

    5.8?

I'd give it to him if he could do what s-jax did for us the year he was with us, which is hit three's and play D. Does he have S-jax potential?

You don't pay for potential. A fiscally responsible team pays for performance.

Can you imagine? A lineup of El Fundamental, El Frenchie, El Sucio, El Contusion, and La Maquina.

I'd waste the full MLE with Posey though...
Yea, me too. But I highly doubt the Defending Champs, the Boston Celtics (), will let him go, especially considering how big he came up for them in the postseason.

he chokes in a finals series and we chase after him

while beno chokes against the pistons in 05, and we still givin him .

sasha would get in pops doghouse right away....and we all knows what happens when you get in pops doghouse...thats why i just dont see him coming here....la might keep him, and there are plenty of other PO contenders who could use him...if we are looking for a guard/small forward, imo we need someone who can create his own shot...not wait and sit behind the arc and shoot, and his defense, i guess i just dont see the D everyone else sees(at the most average is all i see) and who cares about his youth, sasha, isnt someone i think we need to build around or keep as a role player.....we have plenty of those kind of players already......go spurs go

That depends on how well you are able to evaluate whether a play has or doesn't have potential.

not saying i want it to happen, but i wouldn't be surprised if Sasha is on the spurs next season. The full MLE? probably not but probably close.

I'm curious - why would you go with Smith over Vujacic?

Smith is the type that will create his own shot and a slasher, while Vujacic relies more on others getting him the ball when he's open IMHO.

Smith is a little inconsistent but once he gets it going..dang, you better give him the ball and just watch. Sasha relies on energy teamplay and watching the spurs so far, energy is what we've been lacking the whole year. I dont know, I just hope we can get either of these two..they are an improvement of anyone we have on bench right now.

That's the worst kind of player. JR Smith would be another Vinny Del Negro; someone who could get you 30 against Atlanta in February, but who cannot be depended on to show up every night.

Ok.... Sasha? Please no.... seriously.... the guy's like a kid when he's on the court....

he's a good shooter... but under pressure? He's just not Spurs material in my head... even if he's Slovenian...

    let the Lakers keep him...

oh.... and he wouldn't do what S-Jax did to us.. I can't believe you put em in the same sentence

so you guys would rather take fin, udoka or barry over smith/sasha? I thought the spurs should get younger? these two players are the best fit for the spurs right now since they're looking for youth & energy and shooting.

fin, udoka or barry > Sasha

    I'd take Smith though....

Sasha just looks like a kid to me... he's trying to prove himself every time he's on the court imho... and that leads to a lot of mistakes... he's just someone I wouldn't want to see on the roster.
