That's fantastic, but the fact that the pitching has been good the last few weeks make your claim that "this team has no pitching" stupid and wrong.
a team pitches well for 2 weeks of a season and all of a sudden you think they have good pitchers ...show me the stats after 162 games not over a 14 games stretch

The difference, of course, is that Duran is a 23 year old who is being pressed into service. He's a good prospect, he hit .300 last year in Frisco with 20+ HR.

Glad to know you're too much of a dumbass to know the difference between the pitching staff of opening day (Millwood, Jennings, Padilla, Gabbard, Mendoza) and the pitching staff right now (Padilla, Ponson, Gabbard, Feldman and Dougie Mathis).

Seriously, you were wrong about pretty much everything here from trying to use Hamilton twice as a pinch hitter to your general idiocy when it comes to the team. Do you even root for the Rangers?

Doesn't matter, the Rangers will have won more games and tiebreakers will be moot.

So after replying to that firebat head I was thinking about the whole Rangers vs Astros "Rivalry" and came up with this. To be honest with you I don't hate the Rangers, I could care less about the Silver Boot. I only rag on Melmart but thats for other reasons, not because I actually think the Rangers and Astros are rivals. Mono seems to hate the Astros and yes when they pay the Rangers I obviously want them to win, not for the silver boot but for a win. If anyone is an Astros rival I would say its the Cards, Brew crew, and Cubbies. the Braves are more of a rival to us than the Rangers IMO, especially in the post season. Do the Rangers even have a "rival". I doubt the A's and Angels seem to consider then an actual "rival". They prob look at them the same way we look at the Pirates. You know a non-contender who happens to be in our division. When it comes to the AL I root for the Rangers, am I a fan no I wouldnt go that far. When it comes to baseball there is only 1 team for me the Astros and the Yankees. Firebat claims that anyone from the NL central shouldn't be talking ?? Not really sure why? I guess because the NL central hasn't produced a champ since 1990. For you Rangers fans ill sum up our "rivalry" in a way you might understand. We pretty much see things the way you Cowboys fans think about the Texans. You guys feel like we are not really rivals, and most Texans fans feel like we are. I am guilty of this I admit but I know that we are no where near real rivals because we have yet to play when it actually means something..........like in the playoffs.

Right, because the Cowboy's claim to fame is that they got to a superbowl, only to get completely owned by the other team. Something like 35-7? Cause that'd be the equivalent of the Astros.

THere is no Natural rivalry. It is mainly just a focus on how much better the Rangers are as a team vs. the Astros right now and how much better they will be in the future because they won't be paying the corpse of Miguel Tejada and the bloated body of Carlos Lee more than 30 million per season. It is a focus on how much more awesome the Rangers farm system is and how much better they'll be in the future. It is a focus on how despite the fact that Lance Berkman is very much a beast, Josh Hamilton's beastiliness outshines even him.

Rangers>>>>Astros. Despite playing in a better division than the Astros could possibly fathom. (Seriously, when was the last time your NL Central produced a 100 win team?)

i'll go ahead and admit the stros probably don't have a snowball's chance in of taking the boot this year, but why the is this series during the week? it would have been nice to consider going without taking days off from work.
