Peter Holt is too cheap to buy a 1st round pick and apparently our front office has no clue who to draft. Arthur falls in their laps and they pick a projected second rounder, at least pick DeAndre Jordan.
    I agree.

I wonder, if Batum had been there at 26 would they still have taken Hill?

Spurs fans are some spoiled es.
You cant be ing serious?!? No way you can be happy with Spurs taking Hill in the 1st round when he could have been there for them in the 2nd round. What about all the other players left on the board (CDR, Chalmers, Greene)?

Im starting to wonder if you work for the Spurs FO...

You overlook the fact that 25 other teams dont have the same needs we do. Think before you post
The point remains that the majority of the people in here, myself included, know absolutely frickin' nothing about these players. They fell in love with CDR or Chalmers because they saw them on TV in March - and they recognize the names. So, they'll blow up, saying it was a terrible pick, because they don't recognize the name.

Spurs saw something in George Hill that made them know he was the best pick.
    Deal with it.
Damn you guys sound like you would've preferred Nathan Jawai.

-The Rockets totally busted up the Spurs’ plan to hide Nicolas Batum’s physical and get him to fall there. Batum might not be happy to get picked here, but will report to Houston like a good soldier. “We missed by one pick” his camp told us immediately after the Rockets took him. You could see Batum fidgeting in his chair in the five minute span between picks.

From DX. Sounds like the Spurs didn't have a backup plan if you ask me. George Hill is 2nd round talent. They ed up.

I guess Pop's response will be that Hill was the top player on the their board and fans don't see what they do. Except the ing fans pay the bills, and picks the they have made since 2001 are total and a waste.

could be true that they had no back up plan, but when that happens, even a dumbass will make the next best availible move. i wonder how much thought the spurs really put into this pick.
