Hey well since Pop and RC are so much smarter than us 'internet GMs' I"m sure they'll have plenty of playing time ready for Splitter when he plays for us next year....oh wait, he isn't? Oh because he used the Spurs FO so he could get a better contract overseas? Oh OK. Well at least we have Marcus Williams from last year to be a good role player....what we don't? Oh damn. What about all those other foreign players we drafted from 2000 -2007 that had so much 'upside'? Oh they play in Europe...oh ok.

Sometimes it's ok to say that RC and Pop SUCK at something. Yes yes, they got Manu and TP right but WHAT ELSE???? Let me answer that....NOTHING. They are lucky that Timmy can carry anybody to a Championship. They should build a statue to him right now in front of the AT&T Center.
If you could do such a better job why aren't you the GM of a team?

Because I have to get on boards like this and correct nut lickers like you who have no clue and will just support whatever draft pick the Spurs make even though it's almost always a mistake.

So you passed up being a GM of an NBA team to be on a message board?

Yes. He was worthless. He couldn't shoot for and had the basketball IQ of a doorknob.

But I bet you liked him because he can dunk.

RC decided that he would only draft players that were unable to dunk and run the floor slower than yao

you're wrong, his shot was decent. plus who do we have replacing him? matt bonner? im guessing you like him too? yeah I liked his dunking ability but shooting and bball IQ can be taught, he was a young guy. And I guess youre trying to make me look like an ignorant basketball fan, but you look stupid for calling him good on one post and then calling him worthless on the next...

If he was so coachable and willing to learn then why didn't any other NBA team pick him up?

I guess they just didn't want a player in this draft that could help the team. I guess it will be nice to have Hill check out my groceries in 3 years after being released from the Toros...

and you are wrong, white shot almost 40 percent 3 points in college. 30 percent in the NBA but you can't judge because he only played in six games

he's playing pro ball overseas but there are plenty of players who were in the NBA that are overseas. Did he come to the spurs with great expectations? No. Was he a first round pick? No. He managed to play one season and realized he had greater opportunities overseas. He will be in the NBA again within the next couple of years. And using your judgment you are saying that all ex-NBAers that are overseas were sucky NBA players? Then you are saying that Avery Johnson was a sucky NBA player because he went from NBA to overseas and back? Oh wait he was a starting PG for a championship team.

I don't know who this guy is.
The sensible at ude is just to STFU, wait and see what he will do with Spurs before calling him a awful or a great pick.
    Amen, Bruno.

I certainly fancied other players, but since I'm totally ignorant on Hill I'll wait on my evaluation. Still, it was tough to take initially.

look dude, the bottom line is that outside of the no-brainer with Tim, and lucking out with tony and manu the FO has sucked in regards to the draft and you foot have to be a GM to see it.

Because he hasn't played for anyone.

If he comes back into the league and becomes even a garbage player, you can bump this thread and talk as much as you want. But until then he isn't good enough to be an NBA player.

I think he is good enough, better than Matt Bonner who ties with Scalabrine as the worst player in the NBA. We shall wait and see on Flight White as we must wait on George Hill...I think even as a garbage player white is better than bonner and vaugn...and he could have had time to learn because finley would have given him a couple of years to learn before he got too old...
