I could care less what he is demanding now, the Lakers aren't paying him until he plays a full season healthy. Provided he does this he will get max money, but this is common knowledge to most Laker fans.
we should just sit on him this year, and if he plays up to his potential, give him what he asks for.

They don't pay you on what you've done. They pay you based on potential and ability to fill seats / sell jerseys. Kobe has the last 2 covered. Bynum is the epitome of "potential" so he's gonna get paid. But you're absolutely right, he's not worth it based on what he's done so far.
I hope that's just his agent talking. No way will he get the Max, nor deserve it. The Lakers will not give him that especially since they were so successful without him. He better sign up with another agent if his agent is filling his head with this much nonsense. Dr. Buss doesn't take kindly to that kind of talk (see Shaq)

Well my reference to Shaq is the fact that Bynum's agent had to go public and making demands thru the press. Buss doesn't give a how they do when they leave, he just doesn't take kindly to threats.
