I know you guys are trying to find a scapegoat, but if there is one, it's Tim Duncan.

Duncan can score 50 for all I care, but when his team is playing like crap and turning the ball over 4 straight times, he needs to get in someone's face, be it Barry or whoever.

I saw him sitting on the bench with his head in his hand just like he always does.

Every great player has rallied his team, even in a loss.

I've yet to see Duncan do it.

All the Spurs sucked tonight. No one needs a scapegoat.

I don't think that Pop should have pulled out Tim will over 8 1/2 minutes left down by 14. I know things were bleak, but that's not over.

And despite his big offensive numbers, Tim did some stuff wrong too tonight. He was looking for fouls instead of going hard to the rack. He was trying to take charges when he should have been defending. And a variety of other small things.

We can sit and pick apart every Spur's game. But they didn't lose as individuals, they lost as a team.

On Tuesday, they'll win as a team.

It's amazing that anyone would blame Duncan for the poor performance of his teammates, as though they didn't know they were playing like crap, or as though the team doesn't have a drill sergeant emotional coach with a degree in psychology. If he can't motivate them, and they can't respond to Duncan's fearlessness, why would yelling at them do anything?

Barry doesn't deserve any more blame than Duncan does, because Barry was trying to fill the role that Manu and Tony usually play, he just isn't physically gifted enough to do it.

    Anyone else bothered by Bowen???

His offense has gotten worse this year, he passes up his corner 3, which in years past was automatic.

This loss is totally on the big 3...their sucess against Denver and in the early part of this series has turned them into 1 dimensional players that have forgotten about their teamates...we are playing 3-5...and the finger needs to be pointed at those guys and not anyone else.

They also commited the bulk of our 23 turnovers tonight...not one of them had more assists than turnovers....once the ball goes into the paint it doesn't come out...no matter how congested it is.

It's not going to change until we adjust...as long as we make our perimeter game an after thought Seattle is going to keep forgetting about it.

His offense was actually better this year in the regular season than in the past, but it's sucked in the playoffs. Denver took away the corner 3's, so I'll give him that. But the Sonics barely even guard him, he just isn't doing what he needs to do.

I noticed it. Bruce has been more hesitant shooting open jumpers. He's also completely abandoned the midrange jumper and the teardrop which he had going during the season, which takes yet another dimension away from them. They have a number of things compounding their offensive problems. It allows his man to roam around. I wouldn't care if Bruce had a couple of 3 pointers swatted in a game as long as he was more aggressive shooting them.

Yeah, I knew the assist numbers were going to be messed up when watching the game but I didn't realize how bad until I saw the box. When Bruce Bowen (ties) leads the team in assists, you know there's a problem.

You guys just don't want to see the reality that your heroes and coach are showing their feet of clay...When Bowen and Barry are getting it in a good position to shoot it...not only are they shooting it....but they are making it.

Bowen is shooting 40% from 3...why the not try to get him the ball more often ratehr than trying to score on 3 men.

The only time he and Barry are touching the ball are at the beginning of the clock before any of the offense has been put in motion and their primary responsibility is to throw it into Tim Duncan...

The Sonics are not doubling on Duncan until he puts it on the floor, and they are cheating away from Rasho or Nazr if they are in the game(because those guys never get the ball)...and everyone in the world knows when Duncan puts it on the floor he's going to shoot it no matter how many men collapse on him.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see these things.

Watch what Seattle does...then watch what we do.

Because Barry either contributes nothing or is detrimental to the team, that's why.

i've always been a brent barry fan...but now i have to admit that this fool sucks. once in a while he hits a 3 or does some nifty little layup, but other than that?............NOTHING. I'd much rather see the minutes go to Manu or Brown. this . Spurs in 7

This is a guy that knows what he is talking about. He must have actually watched the Spurs games, unlike others.

    Who wants to know?

Oh, and I actually don't watch the games, I mute the TV, put a blind fold on, and "feel" the game with my hands on the screen.

Brent Barry will come up big in these playoffs and all of you will be singing his praises again.

Barry pissed me off with those turnovers he had at critical points of the game. No Spur played like they wanted to win.

Well, give the Sonics credit then.

They were the better team last night.

Whottt I agree with you a lot but I saw Bowen try some ty pumpfake while the defender was closing out at least twice in game and he totally blew the offence with it. They were open looks and he ended up having to pass them up.

He has had looks, he needs to shoot em.

That is re ed. Last year against the Lakers Parker took more shots than Duncan, and those two combined took a huge percentage of the teams shot attempts in the playoffs. Manu took even less last playoffs, and the supporting cast basically had a similiar distribution of shot attempts.

It's the same philsophy. Let the main guns take their shots, and hope the guys who have sat at the perimeter all year, make their threes courtesy of Duncan's pass outs.

Right now the three point looks aren't really there. Even when Duncan was scoring, he was holding the ball for 7-8 seconds at a time and making his move against two guys, who were wreslting him. The offense was out of sync, and the defense was even worse.

What do you think Barry, Bowen and co. are going to get 5-6 open looks each, and that nothing ever comes of them because Ginobili and Parker are hogging the ball? That's crap.

Barry dumped off shots with the clock expiring to guys who had not time to shoot. If you can't see that you're a fool.

you know Barry actually played some decent defense last night. It was one of the few times this year were he was one of the only guys getting their hands up. That is what disturbed me the most. There where so many times where the sonics where getting into the lane and no one was putting there hands up. the spurs were so worried about drawing a charge that they forgot to do what they do best, contest shots.

barry dumped off one shot becuase of time expiring and that time crunch came because Beno dribbled around for most of the position and lost control of the ball with abot 5 on the shot clock, then it got save to barry who was falling backwards with a guy in front of him.

I am not saying barry did not play bad, but barry did not continually pass up shots with time expiring.
