    The Celtics have displayed interest in free agent forward Devean George, according to an NBA source.

    Several teams have inquired about George, who played for Dallas last season and won three NBA les with the Lakers. The Celtics have $2.8 million of mid-level exception funds available.

    I think that would be a solid pick-up for the Celtics considering they don't have much money to spend on free agents. It's definitely a drop down from Posey. But, George does play solid defense, not spectacular, but he's pretty versatile defensively. And, he does have three point range although somewhat inconsistent. And, he does have playoff and even championship experience. Can't replace Posey, but George would be a decent pick-up to cover for Posey's loss, considering all their options.

    it wasn't inconsistent when we were getting our asses kicked by the Hornets. Thats all he is good for, making shots when your team is down 17 to give you a slight hope of coming back.
