    The Rockets were already thinking championship before we got Artest. That's why Barry signed up with us: because he thought we had a great chance to win it all. Getting Artest later is just icing on the cake.

    Nice try. They won the lion's share of their rings when the ing NBA had like 10-11 teams, no salary cap, and no free agency.

    Since the salary cap was introduced no team has won more in any statistical category than the Lakers. We've had only a handful of actual lottery picks and missed the playoffs only a handful of times. Never have the Lakers fallen off for two decades like the Celtics did from the end of the 80's to now.

    lol..I can understand why Spurs might hate the Lakers...but what did the Lakers ever do to teh Rockets and Dallas?
