someone needs to post that 3 pointer he did after the fancy dribbling. This guy is good! Lucky as Blazers! Que Tlong.
Is good.
Congrats Portland, he is a nice young player.

agreed...he is the younger version of Manu.
Spain has a load of talent on their team. Fernandez is a beast, and marc gasol is built like a tank, both of them have the potential to be very nice NBA players.![]()
Rudy and Marc Gasol are going to be big this year. Marc Gasol is not as talented as Pau but he's a much tougher player. Ricky Rubio looks pretty good as well as Patty Miles from the Aussie team...both should be lottery picks in the next few years.
Scola will probably have a breakout season for the Rockets this year too.
I think he has the tools to be the next Zoran Planinic.
The only reason that play happened is because Kobe got lazy on defense and went for a steal and left his teammates hanging.
Well when players get posterized it's mainly because some one f'd up on defense. Howard got posterized thanks to Kobe.
Yup a younger version of Manu is exactly what I see. His athleticism took me by surprise, he definitely is ready to play with NBA caliber athletes from what I saw.
Can you haters go one thread without bashing Kobe? Seriously, you act like he's the only player who played gambling defense. Overall our weakside help defense was horrible in that Gold Medal game.
Kobe messed up by going for the steal and Howard got burned because of it. We all know Kobe has game, but it doesn't mean you gotta cry about it when somebody says something about a play WE ALL SAW.
I'm way down with Kobe, but yeah, clearly he gambled and lost. There was a lot of that going on though, with everybody. Most of the time, our defense leading to offense philosophy focused on creating turnovers, mainly by gambling like drunken sailors. There were times we'd lock it down, but what Kobe did was not one bit out of the ordinary for this team. IMO, the play speaks more to Fernandez' talent than it does the US defense; sure Kobe gave him the lane, but the dude still charged the hoop and dunked hard as over a guy twice his size. It was an unbelievably talented play, in spite of Kobe's missed steal.
one thing you gotta learn about is the blatant Kobe hate on this site, nothing you can do to stop it. I just laugh when i see it now.
Rudy is a pretty good FIBA player. He'll probably be a decent to good role player for the Blazers for years to come. Now all Portland has to do is figure out a way to keep their talent without breaking the bank.
I spent half the game cheering for USA and the other half cursing the Suns for being so cheap and letting Rudy go.
wow, I'm looking forward to see him play.
Rudy has speed, size and a crazy shooting touch. His shooting mechanics are solid, good form and rotation although his arch is a bit too high to be a great outside shooter.
He looks to be an above average NBA Shooting guard. Definitely could turn out to be another Manu if he has the same kind of fearlessness.
^^ Yes. He reminds me on Manu too.
The only big difference is that Rudy's got a very quick release and that Manu is a lefty.
Rudy's jumper is interesting. He always kind of fades to his left when he shoots it.
