It's a very good red meat speech. Romney nor Rudy have appealed to me as an independent. Huckabee was much, much better. This type of trite bull and name calling is what people are tired of.
That was my view on it Rudy's speech. It fires up the base, but if you're an independent you would have to be skeptical when all he is doing is attacking. I thought Huckabee sounded a little more genuine and sincere.
I can't see how Rudy's speech would appeal to anyone not already firmly in the McCain camp.

I like many of his policies, but he's too liberal for me. If it was between him and McCain for president, I would pick Rudy.
I have said at least twice before that I would like him to move to Oregon and run for Governor. He would win easily here, and be more conservative than what we have.

Not really impressed. The fact that we know nothing about her, and she's had to spend the first 10 minutes of her speech introducing herself is a negative to me.
She still has time. But she should try and discuss at least some issues to dissipate some of the "not ready" talk.

It's a commanding voice without being as shrill as Hillary's. Still, I agree it could be more pleasant than it is.
