But HAHAHAHA, Obama says POW's should have rights. HAHAHAHAHA!
It's not his picture the North Vietnamese put in a museum honoring heroes...now was it, Dan?
But HAHAHAHA, Obama says POW's should have rights. HAHAHAHAHA!
I'm sure the North Vietnamese would have followed suit had Obama been President in the '60s.
Just so we're clear, that is NOT torture.
- signed, The Bush Admin.
he came back "by the grace of god" (and dumped his wife)
bad idea focusing on god and dumping your wife.
we have an anchor at work that does the exact same thing...no matter how many times nuclear comes up in a script!
I wrote this in another thread, but according to CNN, the original speech was written before the VP pick was announced.
Once she came on board, the speech was changed, and she had input.
Way to deflect from the point. Pure Obama "new politics"
So you do agree McCain was tortured as a POW? Good, we agree on that.
McCain was a POW who was tortured.
McCain is a Senator and potential President who is fine with torture.

Really, where did he say he was "fine with torture?"
CNN? Yeah, I believe that.
The input she had was minimal and none of it pertaining to the issues or McCain.
All that was filled in by former GW writers, around the stuff about the family, special needs and her "experience".
Though you have to wonder when her lies will finally catch up to her.
I don't know, maybe I made it up.
Oops, no I didn't.
In case you don't click on the links. He voted against a "torture ban."

Two of the three times waterboarding was used it resulted in actionable intelligence that saved countless lives.
McCain isn't stupid. There's torture for the sake of torture and then, there are coersive techniques that result in valuable informaiton. 3 versus the hundred -- or thousands (if you count South Vietnamese POW's) -- is a fair trade.
I know I'm late and haven't read the entire thread...
but that speech made me physically disgusted. I expected a Credibility Speech or a Giving Our Vision Speech, but this was just spiteful and vindictive in a petty way. Where does she come from like that? What dues did she pay to spit out such rotten chowder? Good lord.
No doubt the fanboys had several orgasms, and the overwhelmingly white delegation (93% white) ate it up with spoons - this fires up the base like never before...
And Leslie Blitzer and the rest of the media are back to lovin' McCain.
But this can't be good for the independents, especially independent women. Such a hateful night, what a tone to strike. I can't imagine this goes over very well, but we'll see. Republicans have won with Culture Wars before - it really works.
Thanks for the solid take. Honestly, she just made this the most interesting presidential race in history. And I think that's awesome.
You're right, I mean after the petty attacks from Camp Obama and his loving press, she should have delivered some bland ass speech about refrom and some such
Face it, after four days of liberal slander, Palin put the liberal press in a headlock and beat the out of them. And that's awesome. And bad for the Democraps.
I listened to it. I wasn't impressed. She just sounds like another dumb republican.
it really takes a dumb to recognize a dumb , casa, no va.
Yeah, I'm sure she'd have your vote if only she were a dumb liberal.
She said nothing of substance, IMO.
I thought it was refreshing for a Republican to grow a pair and actually fight back against the freaking media and Obama the untouchable.
Props Sarah.
Honestly, I'm neither. I just want to vote for someone that makes sense. And that didn't say anything that would make me want her as a VP.
And from what I've learned these past 8 years, the VP pretty much runs the country.
I really don't have preset ideas about how the country should be run or anything but what I do kno wis that I did not care for what re mom said and I know I have not agreed with what any of the speakers at the RNC have said.
Class as always.I did not care for what re mom said
