Quite possible. I don't have any of the financial numbers, so I don't know for sure. But, my guess is that no WNBA franchise turns a profit.
That's not a diss on the WNBA. I think the WNBA is good for the communities and for young girls in those communities that the teams are in. My point was to disagree with any notion that Holt would be excited over this for revenue reasons. That's not the point of the WNBA, at least at this point in its existence. Even if the Silver Stars turn over a profit by going all the way, would that money be of any significance compared to what most businesses, much less NBA organizations generally make yearly? I'm guessing no.
