Ranked 23 in Ap now, so probably lose to NW this week, but this is a definite must win for Michigan State. This puts them bowl eligible and they could easily finish the season 6-6 if they win this weekend. If not, a 5-7 season is very probably, unless we can beat Purdue. Same every year, great start, lousy finish.
Very tough second half schedule for the Spartans.
Northwestern 5-0 ( hasn't played anyone at all though)
Ohio State 5-1 ( no chance unfortunatly)
at Michigan 2-3 ( usually a good game no matter the records)
Wisconsin 3-2 ( going to be really pissed off after last couple losses)
Purdue 2-3 ( only bad loss is ND, will see how good they are this week)
at Penn State 6-0 ( could very easily lose by 30+)
So really need to pull out the win this week to guarantee a bowl slot.
Sparty has looked good this year. A few of the tight games they have pulled out they would have lost last year. I think the most probable losses are against the Buckeyes and the Joepa's, although Brutus comes to East Lansing and has not looked immortal this season.
Just looking for a good game this week. Just hoping we do not get blown out. Was a good passing game against Northwestern, but that was about the first good one hoyer has had.
Against the bucks, if we can't pass we are in big trouble.
Or they can go out and get their taints handed to them.
Ya, was afraid that would happen. Oh well. Still have a chance at an 8 or 9 win season. Great year for us if that is the case.
