This is the 20,000+ seat Panathinaikos arena and also in normal years (just except this one) also home of AEK. This will be normal arena of AEK and Maroussi after Panathinaikos finish their new arena in 2-3 years. This is LARGEST indoor basketball arena in the world.
This is arena of Panionios with 15,000 seat capacity and also one more team is allow use it by league rules but just right now is no other team want use. As example if Aigaleo wanted to use it they can. Panionios arena is the arena use for 2004 Olympics.
This is arena of PAOK with 8,650 seat capacity and it right now is be made bigger to 9,000 seat capacity.
There is actually ability for up to 10 clubs in league to play in 9,000 or bigger arena.
This is Aris current home with 5,200 seat capacity. But they will have new arena of 15,700 seat capacity in 2-3 years. When they get their new big arena then this one here will be use by second division club Iraklis.
Also beside these is 8,000 seat arena in Athens and 6,500 seat arena in Athens both just 4 years old not be use by any clubs but is available. Also with new 20,000 Olympiacos arena, new 20,000 Panathinaikos arena, new 15,700 Aris arena be built is also AEK is build new 8,000 arena for use of Greek league and they can use 20,000+ current Panathinaikos and AEK normal arena for Eurocup or Euroleague games.
Also is 8,000 seat arena in Athens that Panionios can also use for Greek league games sometimes. Also is going to be new 10,000 seat arena in Athens for Panathinaikos to also use if they want sometimes. Americans is ALWAYS exaggerate about how poor is arenas in Greece for basketball. Iraklis will either use Aris current arena after they get new one built or Iraklis is also consider new 10,000 arena and they are not even in Greek first division.
All main Athens clubs have at modern arena with at least 8,000 seat available to them. Even Athens clubs like Aigaleo, and even second division ones like Near East and Peristeri and them can play in new and modern 8,000 arenas if they want.

In Athens if you want "family atmosphere" must go to Maroussi home game. is team of Greek royalty and and "blue blood". Fans is supposed to act "civilize" because is relate to training school of royal family.
This why Maroussi still only have like 3,000 serious fans even though is Athens clubs and have rich owner and is strong team at Euroleague level roster these days.
are there even any women at these games??? All I see is like maybe one or two women in a sea of men at these Greek Basketball games. No wonder they act like hooligans...they need more women and kids there.

Anybody else thinks those arenas look small compared to NBA ones?
At least on all the NBA arenas I've been to there is 3 levels. I only see 2 on those.

Childress second game of Greek League
This was against Aris which is one of bigger Greek clubs much different than Aigaleo. Aris was top 16 Euroleague team each of last 2 years and was 2nd best Eurocup team in 2006. This year Aris is back in Eurocup league which is level that is below the Euroleague. So much better team then Aigaleo. Olympiacos win game 74-57.

how come almost all european games are blowouts.
This is OLYMPIACOS games. Is probably one of top 3 best teams on whole continent (they have $70 million budget). Most games are not blowouts is just that this team Childress plays on is very good club. They have 10-1 record so far.
They play against Panathinaikos in next game.
