And dont forget those five fouls. And 8 points isn't "Mediocre". Thats the same production the Lakers got out of Kwame Brown.
It is obvious the Lakers are the best team, everyone already knew that before the season started. They made a statement last night. Ariza hitting shots would add another dimension for sure because he is a young, defensive player. The Lakers offense was already the best, but the defense was a question mark; not any more if they can keep that intensity up.
Bynum played terrible last night, I do not care if he had 3 blocks. He shot terrible, was out of position and was the only guy playing with no energy. He still looked better than Oden. Bynum is over-hyped, but he is going to be good. It was probably good for him to struggle in the spotlight, it will humble him and make him better (until he has a 20/10 game). It is too early to declare a dynasty, but they looked great, and it was expected.

Sure it is. Look at Kendrick Perkins yesterday:
2 points
8 rbds
6 fouls
2 turnovers
In 20 minutes.
Now THAT would be terrible. Most Centers don't score a whole lot these days in the NBA.
I actually think that the Lakers will finish the regular season 85-0. They'll be so dominant that the league will just award them an additional 3 wins in order to ensure that no team in the history of the league will ever be able to reach that level of dominance again.
laker fans jacking off after 1 regular season game. Why I'm not surprised?
After the Smush, Luke and Kwame years, it's hard not to be excited.
There will be alot of jacking off this year.
Great idea.
Just combine this year's Lakers team with last year's Celtics team and then let them play every other team in the league 4 times so they can be the super team that went 112-0 in the regular season.
a lot of premature ejaculating just like last year
It is annoying because I hate the Lakers, but Spurs fans would be doing the same .
Francisco Elson's debut against the Mavs in 07 comes to mind. If Hill or Mason score in double digits tonight I'll predict that they will be the subject of at least three threads started during the game.
Exactly. Or the first game Ian plays and does well, cue the Oden and Bynum better watch out threads.
Why pull it out when the Lakers start with an easy schedule, it would just be going right in again.
I'm predicting 1 loss max in November.
Hey, where's Rony Turiaf?![]()
incredible defensive intensity on the road in the second game of a back to back, more 3s from ariza, three blocks from bynum--you don't have to like the lakers to know that this team is going to be very special.
Lakers 117, Clippers 79.
Fap, fap, fap...fapfapfap
First the Blazers.
Then the Clippers.
Next...2008-2009 Champions.
You don't have to make it sound more impressive with that technicality.
So does Jessica Alba, but I bet you wouldn't mind that...
If the Lakers start out 15-0, I'm ready to hand them the le.
Certainly possible as this Lakers team has more balance and more depth.
However, that doesn't guarantee a championship. The 2003-04 Lakers were probably better than the three-peat teams.
LMAO.
We got to the Finals without Bynum last year.
