    Ben Gordon revealed on Saturday that he tried to accept the six year, $55 million deal that the Chicago Bulls had on the table before he finally signed the one year, qualifying offer, but the team had informed Gordon's agent the day before that the offer had been removed from the table, Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald is reporting.
    According to multiple sources, the Bulls were told Gordon had no intention of taking the offer, which is why it was rescinded. The offer was on the table for more than two months before Gordon took the qualifying offer
    Asked if he knew the offer was withdrawn, Gordon said several things happened that led him to believe the offer was still on the table.
    "I guess it was just a miscommunication of some sort," Gordon said. "Things happen for a reason."

    Gordon's a fool. He sneered at the previous $50 million offer and declined a $55 million one? Ben Gordon's a good shooter but he's undersized and streaky. He won't be getting that mega contract he wants from anywhere.

    Bulls just need to trade Gordon. All this salary crap is screwing up the Bulls' mojo.

    Situations like these are part and parcel of the risks entailed by choosing to build teams primarily from the draft. While this was a success for the Bulls in previous seasons, keeping the team together when the rookie-scale contracts expire becomes very difficult.

    The Blazers should do well to avoid this type of scenario in the future.

    This "miscommunication" is probably one of the more fortunate things that's happened for the Bulls in recent years, along with getting the #1 pick and trading away Eddy Curry.

    Saying Gordon=Arenas is about the same as saying Boozer=Duncan.

    Not really....

    Arenas=team cancer

    Gordon=team cancer

    and they both have the same % chance of winning a championship where they play an important or the main role
