No excuses. Rockets played like crap tonight. Shot horribly. Deserved to lose the game. Yao played like crap, T-Mac played well in spurts. Artest was good. Everyone else sucked.

Yeah, Yao has lost what little ups he had--missing point blank dunks and just plain not showing up. I agree that without Battier, Mutombo, and essentially no Yao--we were still in this thing.

Yeah, the officiating was horribly inconsistent. Be consistent, and let the players decide.

I missed most of the game so I don't know how he played overall, but offensively, Artest shot 10 three point shots and was 3-for-16 from the field.

Normally i would care anyways, but the streaking rockets proved to you how much the beginning of the season doesn't matter, same goes for the spurs who are like 0-3 or 0-4

This was the typical defensive grind it out Van Gundy games that makes you look like crap. The offenses never get started. Both teams shoot a horrible shooting percentage and the team with the better defense typically wins. Last year the Celtics were the number 1 rated defense, and the Rockets the number 2 rated defense.

Artest was great as a defensive player. I know he shot like crap but at least the dude showed up to play.
