Ehhh, i'm not a huge college basketball watcher anyways. Good for him and the CBB junkies.
Love him or Hate him. Bobby Knight soon to be appearing on a Television set near you. Now this would be funny if somehow they could team him up with Van Gundy. They would both be working for ESPN
Bob Knight is coming back – to ESPN
Bob Knight is back, sort of.
No, the Hall of Famer isn’t returning to the coaching ranks, though earlier this year he said he would consider it if the right opportunity came along.
Instead, Knight lovers and haters will find him throughout 2009-09 season in an expanded role as an ESPN basketball analyst, according to an ESPN news release. The three-time NCAA champion coach joined the sports network last year as a men’s college basketball studio analyst for the NCAA Tournament.
His first gig this year: Nov. 18, a special edition of ESPN’s College GameDay, when Kentucky hits the road to take on North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C.. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
Highlights of Knight’s contract, according to the release:
Weekly Thursday night game telecasts of various conferences. Knight will team up with commentator Dan Shulman, and beginning Jan. 15, with announcer
Brent Musburger.
Weekly special guest on ESPN Radio’s Mike & Mike in the Morning or Tirico & Van Pelt shows, beginning in December.
Weekly live appearances on SportsCenter from January to February.
On-site pre-game, half-time and between game analysis for the Men’s Jimmy V Basketball Classic doubleheader at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Dec. 9.
Appearances on the eight weekly College GameDay shows, the network’s college basketball road show. Knight, who will work as an on-site analyst for the 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. editions, will be joined by host Rece Davis and analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps and Hubert Davis. Vitale, lead analyst on the Saturday Primetime game, will continue on the 8 p.m. show.
Returning regular commentators for the network’s Big Ten coverage are Musburger, Steve Lavin and Erin Andrews.

For Knight to come back to Major College Basketball coaching? It would have to be a big name school from a big name conference. Wouldn't that be funny to see Bobby at North Carolina?
