Good coaching.
Leon Powe of the Boston Celtics.
Tough kid and plays really hard. He definitely does a good job positioning himself down low with a wide stance to get a good center of gravity. But, he falls over with the slightest bit of contact when a low post player turns. Several of the Boston games I've watched recently, he's been getting quite a few offensive charges. But, he's definitely flopping a lot of the times he takes the charge.
I hope that isn't something that starts getting coached more. Can you imagine that happening 20 or 30 times in a basketball game where low post defenders just fall down as soon as there's the slightest bit of contact on a turn? That's not good coaching at all.
I guess it depends on the definition of good.
I don't like watching it, either, but I do approve of any defensive adaptation that wins games.
Ray Allen flopped once Carmelo started backing down.
i thought the league was gonna crackdown on the flopping?
i was just thinking the same thing.
rondo does the same, im sure they practice together,.
