if you adjust the fga/g per 48 min then you have yao at 17.25 fga/g and artest at 17.1 fga/g. then add in the fta/g adjusted per 48 min and you have yao at 7.8 fta/g artest at 4.8 fta/g.

i have felt that recently most of the 3's he has taken have for the most part been in the flow of the offense and when he is squared up to the basket. fwiw he is shooting 38% from 3pt land. he doesn't have a quick first step or true ability to create off the dribble but when i watch the games he seems like he is trying to do stuff in the flow of what adelman's should be. he is still trying to find his place on offense so i am giving him time and i feel his 2pt% will come around...right now he is about 12% below his 2pt fg% from the past 2 seasons and about 10% below his career 2pt%.

also you act as if yao is not getting touches due to artest. yao is without question the first option. this poster on clutchfans has been keeping track of yao's touches the past 4 games and it is pretty cool. he is averaging about 34 touches a game in the past 4.

34 touches in what 100 possession? when have i ever said yao doesnt get any shots?

my point was artest jackin up shots takes more shots away from yao. should a career 42% shooter be taking the same amount as a 7'6" guy? in no. yao is averaging 12 shots a game???? he should be getting 20-25 a game at his size. the heat game is what the rockets should be doing. 46 touches for yao should be each and every game.

again my response was that artest has always been the focal point of an offense and for him to be a 4th option behind tmac battier and yao isnt going to work. he says this is yao and tmacs team but his actions and stats show otherwise.

Well that's easy. If you don't want Artest dominating the ball, he comes off the bench when T-Mac needs a rest or Battier comes out.

The least of our problems is asking Artest to come off the bench. Our coach knows the game plan, our G.M. knows the plan, our team knows the plan, our announcers know the plan, and.......Ron Artest already knows what's up. He actually enjoys playing with the 2nd unit...he get's more freedom. Adelman has already been playing him a big chunk on of minutes with the 2nd unit right now to get him used to those players.....because like I said, everybody and their mother (Ron included) knows he's coming off the bench when this team is healthy. He's going to come off the bench, but with starters minutes and he's not going to about it, because he's not Lamar Odom.

Also posting Ron's shot attempt totals is completely meaningless....Ron plays more minutes than any other player on the team and most of his shot attemps come when some of the reserves start coming in.
