it, why TP didn't shoot these jumpers all night?

no defense and struggling offense in the 4th when it's money time, 2 straight bad losses

game over - shut the tv off. I just don't understand Pop at all - does he think we can just afford to give away games while he plays with the rotations?
It's really early now is the time to play around and sort things out. You guys will be fine not sure about the Pistons.

Spurs are really disappointing me. No energy, and seem like they EXPECT to have the game handed to them. They need to wake up and play with a purpose. They can't do the usual coast until the rodeo road trip.

Anyone else notice that when JV entered the game, the Spurs just fell to absolute ?

    Final: Pistons 89, Spurs 77

The Pistons outscored the Spurs 28-14 in the fourth quarter to claim an 89-77 victory Tuesday at the AT&T Center.

The Spurs shot 5 of 15 from the field (33.3 percent) in the fourth quarter. The Pistons shot 11 of 19 (57.9 percent).

The Pistons' Rasheed Wallace had a big second half. He had two points at halftime and finished with 19. He drilled three 3-pointers in the last 8:05 of the game.

Allen Iverson had 19 points and six assists for the Pistons.

Tim Duncan led the Spurs with 23 points and 13 rebounds, but had only one point in the fourth quarter. Tony Parker had 18 points and Manu Ginobili had 13. The Spurs' bench contributed only 13 combined points.

    FOURTH QUARTER

The Pistons' defense is clamping down and the Spurs missed 8 of their first 10 shots of the fourth quarter. Wallace has eight points in the first nine minutes of the quarter including two 3-pointers and the Pistons lead 81-73 with 2:07 left.

A Wallace 3-pointer with 8:05 left in the game put the Pistons in front 68-66 - their first lead of the second half. That was part of an 11-1 run to put the Pistons up 74-67 - their biggest lead of the game.

This one is going to be tight heading down the stretch. An Iverson basket cut the Spurs' lead to 66-65 with 9:29 left in the game.

    THIRD QUARTER

The third quarter seemed to go in spurts. The Pistons had a late 9-0 run that included six points by Wallace and the Spurs finished the period with a 63-61 lead.

The Spurs went on an 8-0 run that included two baskets by Parker and a 3-pointer by Bruce Bowen. They lead 60-50 with 3:13 left in the third quarter.

The Pistons went on a 10-2 run to cut the Spurs' lead to 52-50 early in the third quarter. Tayshaun Prince had three baskets in the run.

Matt Bonner hit a 3-pointer on the Spurs' first shot of the second half after the Spurs were 1 of 11 from 3-point range in the first half. A Duncan jumper put the Spurs in front 50-40 and gave them their first 10-point lead of the game.

    SECOND QUARTER

The Spurs made a 15-2 late run in the second quarter to grab a 45-40 halftime lead. Duncan led the Spurs with 18 points.

The Spurs led despite not hitting from the outside. Roger Mason Jr. hit their first 3-pointer with 1:55 left in the half.

The Spurs outrebounded the Pistons 22-18 in the half and outscored the Pistons on points off turnovers 12-4. The one edge for Detroit: 50.0 percent shooting to 42.5 for the Spurs. You get the feeling if the Spurs keep their turnovers down again the second half, they'll take this one.

The Spurs went a stretch of 4 minutes, 22 seconds between baskets. The Pistons took advantage with a 14-2 run to grab a 31-26 lead.

The Spurs went to a small lineup early in the quarter that included three point guard/shooting guards on the floor together - George Hill, Mason, Ginobili - plus Michael Finley and Fabricio Oberto.

Duncan's basket in the first minute of the second quarter gave him 10 points and made him the first player in the game in double figures. He followed that with a pair of free throws before being replaced by Matt Bonner at the 10:22 mark.

    FIRST QUARTER

Parker and Duncan scored eight points each as the Spurs finished the first quarter with a 22-17 lead.

The Spurs turned the ball over only one time the first quarter and the Pistons didn't turn that into any points. The Spurs also had a 12-11 rebounding edge.

Hill replaced Parker with 1:47 left in the quarter.

The Spurs created a few defensive stops and continued scoring as they inched out to an 18-13 lead. Mason replaced Ginobili at the 6:15 mark of the first quarter and Oberto replaced Bonner at 4:43.

Duncan hit the first shot of the game and Parker and Ginobili are driving through the Pistons' defense. The Pistons' Richard Hamilton is hot early at the other end and it's tied 10-10 at the first timeout.

I think that's one of Pop's worst coaching moves of the season. It seemed to kill the teams spirits when he came out. George Hill getting benched was not acceptable. He's a rookie and he needs to learn and work through his mistakes.

One probel that was very obvious: With Tony and Manu back, the Spurs don''t execute. Yes i said it. Those two guys interrupt almost every play, brickin' up shots or making wrong decisions. I don't give a if ur an all-star: Execute!!

Pistons shot 50% and Manu got a team high (+/-) -17, Hill and Mason were major disappointment tonight.

Mason who was supposed to be a good ball handler had 5 tos and Hill got a 2nd half DNP because of his lack of aggressiveness on the offensive end

Yep. Spurs shot what, 25%? If they had hit a few more, they could have looked like all the ass in the world and still taken this one.
