Actually with them hitting almost all their threes, it's ok to be down by five. I'm just a bit disappointed with fin.

Um, no. The Magic are playing great inside-out offense, or effective pnrs, leading to open 3s that our guys are closing out late on. We certainly are TRYING to close them out, they are just playing better than our D right now.
It could be a lot worse.

Like I said Ruff the SPurs laziness on defense against the crap teams hasn't prepared them to play against the good teams.
Those late close outs are because the Spurs have been lazy when they should be trying to get the defense down and be in rhythm on that end of the court by now.
We better figure out how to defend a pick and roll at halftime. And rotate to open shooters.

yup..Orlando is top 3(?) in 3-point shooting %, so it's not a surprise that they're going to make a number of them..they're similar to our team in a lot of ways..hopefully the law of averages kicks in, and they cool down..hopefully..
I was satisfied with this half, other than the bad decisions, and careless mistakes..Hill passing up a shot for a turnover, Manu with a few careless turnovers, Finley not being able to hold on to the ball and taking a horrible fadeaway J..

The Magic may be good shooters but the Spurs have helped them out on numerous occasions by giving them more than enough time to aim. The closeouts do need to be quicker.
